I finally became an apprentice this year a few months in and I only have harbor freight tools I hate how everyone in the shop has matco and snap on and I’m the only one with the cheap tools I wish I could afford tool truck brand but I simply cannot since I get underpaid and have bills to pay I already spent over $2k+ on tools and I still need lots of tools to be able to certain jobs I’m always buying tools every week from harbor freight I hope to one day be able to own all snap on tools with a big snap on box like everyone else
Name brand tools aren’t everything. I have a mix of snap on. Craftsman. Milwaukee. Dewalt. Husky. Gearwrench. Harbor freight. And a few I’m probably forgetting about including custom made tools. I should do one of these videos but It’s not my thing.
Please don’t get into debt. Buy what you can afford and learn everything you can out of service books and online. I made the mistake of buying an expensive multimeter thinking it would help me get ahead. Get a cheap one and then a Pico 2204A. Learn to use it fast and it will help you tremendously. Make attachments yourself with piezo’s and learn to crimp and make test harnesses. A lot of guys do not want to mess with scopes. You’ll be more comfortable with electrical problems in no time and get way ahead of the curve.
Harbor Freight tools are a wonderful place to start. Only buy what you need or what can make your job easier/faster. Don't worry what other people have they started just like you. Many techs go way too far in debt buying tools they don't need. Ive always paced myself by limiting how much I buy then waiting until I pay it off before buying more. I have no tool debt 😁👌
Nothing wrong with your tools they all do the same thing. AUTOZONE has Duralast tools, I buy them at times if I need a wrench, socket.. great prices will not break the bank. through the years since late 70's i have acquired SnapOn, Matco, Mac, Duralast, Craftsman, and my 2 large Craftsman rollaway boxes, 2 tool chests. 2 floor jacks, jack stands..etc.. and I am almost 63. Sad part is, the day I leave this life, no one to leave all my stuff to. My niece's and Nephew will be selling it all off for cheap.
i was watching until the 2:21 mark and said damn thats an expensive camera why is the video quality so bad.... i was watching in 480p for some reason lol..
This guy has all the right tools to do his job super fast and stress free. He’s making 20x more than if he had a basic set of tools and that’s not an exaggeration.
I find the algorithm scary I just started as a lube tech at Honda and Mr TE videos popped up… we like that bud
I think you need ONE more scan tool for safety measures.
Sweet tour.. very entertaining! Nice set up also
