Yo heads up, one of the strongest buffs for AKs this wipe is that the adapter that used to be exclusive for the 101 and 102 is now available for basically all aks. Now all of them can attach m4 suppressors. They're still not as BIS as the waffle suppressor, but now you can get a lot better stats for a lot cheaper.
access to 545BP really hold back the AK's only the 101 and 102 are the only ones that can be used. the 762 AK's are still good. but we need 545bp to be able to keep up with the nato guns in the game
I like the 74U, but it has pretty poor accuracy and velocity compared to even the AK-105. Makes it a lot harder to hit out to range and you incur damage/pen drop off a lot sooner even if you do hit. The 105 performs better, and the AK-12 better still, though it's limited in terms of customization. The main draw of 5.45 to me is the abundance of BP and even BS; a quick Reserve scav can easily net you 1-3 bricks of them, 120rds each, with virtually zero risk.
I'll be honest, I think completing setup and Punisher Part 4 AGAIN this wipe has put made me lose all motivation. Next wipe I'm going to Just do quests I want and enjoy my time...
this is my fav gun early wipe but just like last wipe its complete ASS even with the best ammo unless you only hitting them in the head. I have a video wiping a 4 man and then i die to a player that had a PACA on because i was shooting him in the chest and after that i said no more of the 5.45 because the PEN doesn't do what it should
@ yeah literally. It seems like scavs are invincible when you shoot them with 5.45 and players if you don’t hit their head they will eat a full 30 rounds and still run away, and then one tap you. Typical Tarkov. They really ruined 5.45 when the armor change happened. There’s not enough good ammo when later in the wipe comes. Like ppl running around with tier 5 and tier 6 are damn near un killable unless your using like the best ammo in the game and you can’t even buy the best ammos you can only find it and it makes Zero sense. They need to do more ammo adjustments like really bad idk if it’s ammo or hit reg but something needs to be fixed for sure
The first guy looks like he teleports and the survivor of the second duo too. For me it looks like you have solid lags in this raid. Thats why you dont kill them.
After years of playing PVP i went now to PVE and i quitted 5.45. I run now only with 7.62 and it is a extremely deadly machine. I have one AK for 5.45 and its a Krink for CQB otherwise all 5.45 dont work for me anymore.

True, although I find that I have plenty of bp/bs ammo just from playing the game for the most part

Yes agreed, I seem to always have stacks of BP/BS ammo laying around so I do like running this gun or AK12's

It lets me down sometimes, although I do enjoy using 5.45 rounds
Maybe I get unlucky but right now its fire rate is just too low for its damage/pen output. But damn do I love how light weight the gun is!

The 5.45 ammo is easier to find and in greater amounts plus the guns spawn more often. So already some upsides.
Yes I always find I have endless bp/bs rounds just from playing the game tbh

Yeah sometimes it just feels like you are shooting airsoft rounds when using 5.45...

Yeah it does make the game more difficult. I tend to always aim for the head personally but if you miss them it becomes problematic 😅

7.62 is the superior round for sure, or even SIG that is the best I reckon

Ill keep using SMGs since people still have yet to learn thats all it takes to win fights in this game.
