Pachmayr Grips installed on my two Springfield Armory Garrisons

- I removed the thin profile grips on both of my Garrisons, replaced the thin bushings and screws, installed standard bushings and screws, and put on old school Pachmayr grips that I have always been a fan of. #springfieldarmory #1911 #Garrison1911

Remember, you have to change out the slim bushings on the grip to the standard size bushings or these grips will not fit properly. You will also need the standard grip screws.

@@gabeatv you’re welcome! I got replacement bushings, screws and a bushing removal tool from Brownells.
@@RogueSarge I ended up ordering the screws, bushings, and Challis extractors from Wilson Combat. I was surprised it was slightly cheaper.
Installed the new grip a few mins ago. Fits like a glove! I was using skater’s tape for the front strap. This is a much better solution. Didn’t care much for the slim grips either. Can’t wait to take it to the range!
