- Hailstorm broke Walmart's roof and destroyed lots of products. Me and my sister had a "privilege" to be there. People were scared and staff confused, there was nowhere to hide. Hopefully nobody got injured. We took some video clips from the incident. 28.07.2016 (9.50PM)

The TVs would probably be fine even if wet. As long as the water doesn't have salt or minerals the electric components are fine. You just risk electric shock if electricity travels through the water.
I know that this was many years ago, but just in case you’re ever in a situation like this again, go to a room with no windows in the center of whatever building you’re in. Quite often that’s a bathroom but it’s always a good idea to get a general idea of where you would go, especially if you’re in a store or unfamiliar place and the weather is bad.

I live in Kansas, and we had ping pong size hail hit ours. And yep, ours had the ingenious same energy saving system installed, where during sunny days they turn off most of the lights and these white non-hail proof plastic domes were placed in. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what would happen in states that get severe thunderstorms with anywhere from pea size hail, up to yes, softball size hail. In 1991 we had a hail storm that produced goofball, then baseball, then softball size hail that in total lasted about 10-15 minutes. Was not a good day to be a 911 communications officer then.

Why the F*** do they construct buildings like these especially knowing that the area is prone to hail storms?
I'm originally from L.A. and you can't build a building without being earthquake resistant.
Colorado must learn their lessons and build for hail type weather.
If they built this and other buildings to with stand these hail storms,
people would be more protected being in these stores when a storm like this breaks out.
