I was expecting to hear Pastor Blair tell us that the bullet was stopped by his Testament, but that was not the case in this testimony. I have heard numerous ones that did include that situation. The watermelon friend part is a good reminder that we need ever be "ready" and prepared to meet our Maker. This physical life is a vapor and in the context of eternity it is like a speck of sand on an endless seashore. God loves us SO much that He allows us to have the free will to either acknowledge Him and respect Him or to reject Him and choose to, so to speak, be our own god, us making the rules. But that choice is only available until that moment when we actually cease to exist in this physical realm. We don't cease to exist though, our soul and spirit live on with our destination for eternity determined by whether we accepted His free gift of eternal life or whether we rejected it. We stand condemned by our sin unless we accept the freely given gift of grace by God. Anyone who has truly accepted His gift will tell you it isn't instant prosperity and an all-rosy awakening, but it is a transformation. The mystery of the gospel message was revealed in and by Jesus Christ. This mystery, so long hidden, could now be illuminated and now understood. We have a heavenly Father, a kind, all-knowing, all-powerful Father who loves us unconditionally who will adopt us into His family, making us full heirs to His riches, His wisdom, His love and for all eternity. Heaven is a real place and you don't want to miss it. We are to love others as completely as God loves us. He loves us in spite of who and how we are. He Gets Us!
God bless The Gideons International.
