Cuban singer Farah Maria, one of the symbols of sensuality and beauty of the Cuban art scene, called "the Gazelle of Cuba," performs "Un Cuento," a song by Bulgarian composer Toncho Rusev, at the Intervision Song Festival in Sopot, Poland.
Maria received the First Prize for Acting in Sopot.

Farah María, who died on December 30, 2020, at age 76, "was a symbol of Cuban grace, sensuality and beauty. She was a remarkable singer who knew how to choose her repertoire and demonstrated her indisputable elegance and dominance on stage," said the Cuban Institute of Music, the state entity in its social networks.
María shared the stage at the Gran Teatro de La Habana with Josephine Baker and Bola de Nieve and participated in the song festivals of the Eastern block representing communist Cuba. In addition to the prize in Sopot, she was awarded First Prize for Interpretation at the Dresden Festival, in the former German Democratic Republic and Grand Prize at the Golden Orpheus Festival, in Bulgaria.
Alexis Valdés, a Cuban actor, remembered her as "the first imaginary girlfriend of the boys of my time. The woman of the dreams of the men of the 70's and early 80's. Later other sensual singers appeared. But she was the sexiest when it was almost an offense."
