Kerala is one of the few places where you can find beef and pork dishes in India. Plenty of fresh seafood also available. Sadhya is a vegetarian meal, commonly associated with Onam or wedding celebrations.

Entire south india any marriage function the food is served in banana leaf, this leaf enhances the taste of the food, Kerala food will use coconut oil, coconut in almost all food cooked as coconut is available in abundance in that region, Karnataka specially north side will use jagary in sambar etc whilst Andhra food will be really spicy as guntur is famous for it's chilly. So every region has its own taste!

Veg food thali in India has multitude of dishes and note each has unique place in thali like what is on left and what is on right what is to be served in centre etc. So also there is an order in eating, what first, what in between and what at the end.
Btw, there are 100s of varieties of papad in India. Each region, each community has their own papads.
The banana leaf has medicinal quality and imparts a unique flavour to the food.

We Keralities call " Chutney ", " Chammandi " paaji, malayalam language mein " Chammandi " he..
The language we speak in kerala is " malayalam " and that is why we are called " malayalies " and not malwaris or malabaris like many people often weongly describe or call us😊
Also South India has a lot of varieties in case of food, its not just vegetarian and also Southern part of India or South India as you call it, comprises not just of kerala.. But Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Each state has its differences in culture, language that we speak and of course food.
You will be overwhelmed by the authenticity and taste of each cuisine in each state. If possible try visiting these states separately.
Aur paaji, Aapke videos aur description, aap ka ghane, location aur logon ka detailed explaination dene ka tharikka bilkul sabardast aur
kabile thariff he. You also see to it that you equally respect everyone on the way. Welldone and keep going brother. Love from Kerala. Try visiting our place if possible, the food and locations there will blow you mind😊...
    god bless you🙏❤️

    Moshi Bhai,
porotta / paratha is not part of sadhya & neither are any non veg.
    About Sadhya,
1st helping of rice should be eaten with Kerala Dal + ghee and the papad should be mixed in.
This is then followed by sambar and other runny dishes. All the side dishes should eaten along with the rice.
If you notice, all the dishes are a play on various flavours, sweet, sour, salt and spice.
You shouldn't hesitate to use your hands 😂
Porotta is best eaten with buff / buffalo or even pork curry. Personally beef doesn't taste good and I don't know why people even eat it.
Hope you are enjoying your stay in Mumbai. If you drink, their are loads of good bars of all price ranges.

Let me help you with the pronunciation...It is Pachadi, Erusseri (spoken as Erusheri)..Of the 2 Payasams (Malayalam word for kheer), the white one is Paal Ada Payasam - Paal means Milk, Ada is a dried rice pancake); you have incorrectly mentioned that as Sabudana...Chammanthi means Chutney..Also, it is Thoran which you have mentioned as Thoram, AVIYAL not Abiyal...

Moshi bhai, why would you have a heavy milk shake before eating a thali? 😂But I am so glad you tried and enjoyed Kerala cuisine. That is just a sneak peek into their cuisine. Cuisine in every state, in fact every few hundred miles within every state is different and there is extensive list of dishes from each place.
Also, there is no standard one type of papad in India, because👆 explained above😄
