    Even more on the thank you train, thank you and going through and talking about the numbers too. Through watching all of these, from truck on up, I learned the basics of setups and what you look at. I've built my own using that knowledge. Then more thanks for your spreadsheets. I always have all 3 open!

      Haven't commented in awhile but seen this and wanted to basically reiterate what was said. I've tried others setups but for me and my race program yours is the best well rounded for my driving style. Using the chart Id gotten from you has helped me in all the racing games I play to. I also adjust a few things to then use your setups for my qualifying efforts to. So thanks a ton for what you do for this racing community we've go going

    I find Kentucky race to be very enjoyable great racing both high and low lines it’s a lot of fun especially since I finally mastered turns 3 and 4

    Tried this setup, and it’s honestly one of the loosest I’ve ever driven. My rear end was stepping out going down the front straightaway, and I couldn’t touch the gas throughout the center of the corner without the car spinning, even with partial throttle. Lowering the air pressures dramatically gained me the top 10 I needed in Career for the incentive contract, but only with a fight.

      Try going up on the front sway bar 1-2 clicks and that should make a big difference in the handling.

      Takes about a tenth and a half off due to being a bit tighter towards the apex, but makes that time back and more on exit. Improved my lap averages by about 2 tenths. Thanks!

    Jolly good! Treacherous territory riding on rails like that. Very fast though coming off the corner 🌽 🤠

    The setup handles very well. My only issue is actually the track it’s self, I feel like Kentucky isn’t as forgiving as other tracks if you stay in the gas for too long or if you get back in it too early. The line to run that you shown in the video really helps. Amazing setup as always!

      Kentucky is very tough for sure. Turns 3 & 4 are the toughest for me. There's no margin for error as far as getting into the corner, or getting back in the gas. It took me a ton of laps there to figure it out and get consistent. I had a league race there this week, and I thought "Man, I'm gonna do great, I've finally got this place figured out", and I ended up getting a pit road speeding penalty on the final stop! Ugh! I got a 15 second penalty, and ended up losing the race by 14 seconds!

      @@theset-upman3500 turns 3 & 4 is where I struggle the most too. Sorry to hear about that 14 second loss I’m sure with your setup you’ll get a win at Kentucky the next time there is a league race there.

    You are my main set up go to. Unfortunately here lately a few tracks i cant get past top 15 or 20. The car has been getting very loose lately. Am i looking at old setups? On a controller but i leave the wheel lock mainly default. I have heard you say this before about controllers. Not sure if im driving the car too hard or what but I always get loose coming out of turns like it wants to slide to the left and hard to keep stable. Thanks also new sub here

    • @theset-upman3500

      I'd try going down on the wheel lock, and maybe run it the same or 1-2 clicks higher than what I have if you are on a controller. If that doesn't fix it, the best thing I can suggest is to go up on the front sway bar. Going up on the front sway bar is the best remedy that I have found for a loose off condition, but it has some drawbacks. Going up too high will cause the car to wobble or shake violently in the corners. I'd start by going up as high as you can without getting the corner shake. If the corner shake isn't terrible, you can go up a couple of clicks on the front bump and rebound settings and it will calm down the shake somewhat. Going down on the front springs can also help. The stiffer front sway bar really tightens up the car, so you may have to go down on the wedge to get the car back in balance. Long answer, but I hope this helps. Also, sorry for taking so long to reply!

      I run 10-15 wheel lock depending on the track and I use controller I’ve just learned very little movement in the sticks makes the biggest difference. Especially once the tires start getting worn I couldn’t tell you how many times I spun out on the last few laps 😅

    • @theset-upman3500
      @theset-upman3500  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is what I have in my notes, but it's been so long ago, I'm not at all sure if this setup is any good. Preset- 5, Tape 40%, Wedge 50%, LF 22.75, RF 49.00, LR 23.00, RR 48.00. My sense is that if you went up to the mid-fifties on the right side and mid-twenties on the left side, you'd get more speed on the straights and the short run, but might slide around more on the long run.

    Don't know if you're still around but most of your setups are great but this one kills me in a very specific area -- corner exit coming off of 1. I either spin out like I hit a oil spot or hit the wall.

    • @theset-upman3500
      @theset-upman3500  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can offer some advice to try and help. Normally, the best cure for "loose off" is to go up on the front sway bar. You can try this, but the sway bar is already so high that it might cause the car to have a very violent "shake" in the turns. Try the higher sway bar, if it shakes terribly, go back to the original sway bar setting and try some of these adjustments. Go down on the wheel lock. Try running the wheel lock in the 3-5 range and see if that helps. If you're on a controller, don't go down quite so much, maybe just go down to a 7 or 8. Also, try going down on the track bars. I'd go down more on the right than the left, maybe leave the left alone and go to a 14.00 on the right. If it still gives you problems, try going to a 14.00 on the left track bar and 13.00 on the right. Finally, you can always add some wedge to it, but I'd try that last, especially since you're problem is corner exit and not all the way through the corner. Good luck, and let me know if these help!

      @@theset-upman3500 Raising the wheel lock to 7 seems to have fixed it. Well until my tires wore out and I plunged straight into the wall to earn me a DNF in the second half of stage 2. Seems I just can't figure out my line for that turn. Coming out of the turn and into the back stretch one of two things happened: If I was too close to the yellow my backend came out (think this is due to the groove or crack in the concrete you talked about) but if I worked to stay above that crack I would overcorrect and smack the outside wall on exit. I'm guessing upping the wheel lock by one must have made my overcorrection more forgiving? Thanks for the tips, I can use those as notes for general setups, but I think turn 1 at this track is just my nemesis and not a setup problem.

      Thanks for the feedback. With the front sway bar at 1.775, I'm surprised that it got loose. Running a stiffer sway bar is usually my "go to" adjustment for a loose off condition. Let me suggest a few things to try and see if it will make it better for you. Try going down to 4 or 5 on the wheel lock, going down just a little bit on the camber, and try going up 4-5 clicks on both the wedge and front weight and see if those things help.
