Да, для того что бы избавится от тёщи идея отличная, а самому лезть на этот агрегат не советую.
Cuando voltea el respaldo se ve que el soporte de la tabla está debajo de la tabla, creo que debería estar encima
Cuando esta en forma de escalera el tercer escualos de abajo hacia arriba debería llevar la tabla sobre los soportes, muy linda la silla y muy buen trabajo!

Do you have plans? or at least measurements of the pieces you cut the 2x8 out of? i can see you used 2 or 3 2x8s and ripped them in half to get uniform square edges, but what lengths did you cut to make the chair fold perfectly?
Same question here @allweareisgolden. And I'm frustrated watching these videos on build or make projects without mentioning measurements of the pieces of wood being used. Dimensions are nothing without the measurements of the wood. I'm so eager to make one but I have to figure it out myself. It seems they don't want to be copied.

It is looking good, but DO NOT USE IT. The end-grain glue joint will collapse for sure.

Sin la intención de menospreciar un trabajo haré una observación, cuando la silla la pones en posición de escalera, el último peldaño queda suspendido por debajo del cargador y eso puede ocasionar que se desprenda ya que los clavos y pijas se pueden aflojar, yo mejor la volteo no importa que cuando esté en función de silla quede un escalón entre esa parte y su compañero el escalón inferior, por lo demás muy bien el tutorial en cuanto a la secuencia a seguir y una idea muy práctica, saludos desde Culiacán Sinaloa México.

@@leonelreyes8739 Para comensar yo estoy dando una opinión sana y sin ofender y para continuar ¿Tu porqué me tildas de ciego? Es un comentario que va dirigido a otra persona, ¿Porqué te calientas tu? Lee bien mi comentario y analisa la posición del peldaño, estará trabajando de colgante no sentado en una base, todo está colocado con pijas, yo no mire que colocará tornillos en ninguna parte, si tú ves que coloco tornillos me lo puedes decir y hasta ahí todo correcto, pero ¿Porqué húsar calificativos ofensivos? Creo que no es necesario.
@TheCulichy Comparto tu opinión respecto al apoyo que dejó en ese escalón, pero corrijo, no es el último, sino el tercero, de abajo hacia arriba, el último lo puso bien, saludos desde Monterrey.
@@amakta tienes razón debí aclararlo así y no lo hice porque para mí el último escalón es el tercero de abajo hacia arriba ya que el cuarto no es un escalón pues tiene poca área de apoyo, es un remate que te sirve de apoyo para para mantener el equilibrio, tal ves una persona joven y que controle bien el vértigo si lo pueda utilizar como escalón, pero un adulto o una señora que somos los que más ocupamos de estas cosas no creo, cuando menos yo lo haría en caso de mucha necesidad y buscando un apoyo superior, de cualquier manera muy buena tu observación y sí, captaste el esfuerzo que hace la base, yo la mía le cambié la posición y para mí tanto como a ti está bien creo, igual se puede hacer con tubulares metálicos ligeros y quedaría más firme pues serían soldados, lo importante es que el señor que subió el video compartió una excelente idea que cada quien puede adaptar a su gusto y posibilidades, saludos desde Culiacán Sinaloa.

It's great, BUT, the top step is upside down - should be on top of the side battens, not underneath - just an observation.
But then it wouldn't match the bottom step while in chair mode, an alternative would be to cut a dado into both bottom and top battens and insert the steps, allowing them to match in either form
The top step needs more support or the nails would loosen over time.

on the very bottom step, you need to put a support cleat both above and under the tread placement so it's stable in either up or down state...
Mine works too. I used the Woodglut plans and performed it without any problems.
