In many ways they're just like us.
Slade were great, this documentary proves how nice they really were
I just wish they'd played some of their hits.

Anyone aged 11-16 in the early 70s will say how grateful we were to have been blessed with the likes of T.Rex, Bowie, Rod Stewart, Slade, Sweet, Mud, Wizard (shush... even Gary G****r !😲 ). If not, they missed something Special!!

Sheesh.. i can picture my face right now; its basically the reflection of Bill Murray at sarco Level 1. But in the asumed lack of a hidden disability; the general idea of mimickry is kind of looking and/or sounding like the subject of your mimickry.
Sketches like this really warm the cockles of your heart.

Pretty sure that's just acting the part. They are meant to be naughty schoolboys and Dave is the "mother", so he's just smirking about being told off, like mist naughty kids do.
And funny thing is that in reality Bob burnt his mums house down by messing about with fireworks whilst in the house!

I'm from Wolverhampton just north west of Birmingham but a world apart in attitude etc but to Martians and Yanks alike, we sound the same. However, on a wonderful visit to the good ol' US of A a few years back, i had a store worker ask me if I was from Lithuania!! Never before or since did I so wish i knew the Lith Lingo! Thank you US, still love ya and would like to return one day! Maybe it's the Irish in me :P

Gewglesux Birmingham used to be called Brummigham later changed to Birmingham......hence Brummy
@@itsmephil2255 erm...not quite tbf; Birmingham was naturally called that name but I vaguely understand that due to the city's dealings in the precious stone market (Diamond Quarter etc) a nickname was born ie "Brummy Gem" which I understand morphed into "Brummijum" and the fallout was the natural mix up of fact and fiction resulting in the abbreviation "Brum" from which the accent is derived. Just while I'm here, PLEASE for your own safety don't ever say to anybody north/west of Perry Barr and beyond "Ooh are you a Brummie?", the further north/west the question, the very much harder the slap on the face :O
