Im a shadow and knuckles main, shadow is really good for running in to revive and dashing out and a good staller, i actually stalled a exe half the entire round before he gave up and went to chase someone else.

Also, a tip, if standing still doesnt work and exe just waits for the block to end, dont use it, just use dash, dont fall for the same twice, if exe sees you not doing it and just running/dashing he'll not wait for your block cuz he doesnt expect you to use it, basically, dont use block agaisnt a pro exe (always try standing and blocking and then see what exe does, if he hits the block use block while running straight or standing still as a bait, if he waits or doesnt atack just run away using dash and dont use block for a while, he'll forget about that and when you see him go full agressive on you use it)
To be fair to shadow being able to consistently outrun a chaser while being able to block and break out of sometimes certian death grabs makes him probably the best decoy in the game, someone who under pressure can just run up to exe and stall him for like a good 15 secconds and escape relatively safely while other teammates recollect themselves/heal or run for the exit.
To be honest, whenever i play as Cream and see Shadow, i usually heal them AFTER i heal others, if they're not even trying to help. But if shadow DO help people, i usually heal them after i heal up stunners.
I found out that in hide and seek its better to only use dash when he’s targetting you or camping the exit. If it’s near the lava area dash as soon as he uses a spring
idk if this is still a thing but when shadow gets reved he doesn't lose speed like all the others do (idk if this is still a thing but hopefully it is)
Fun Fact: The Block Ability was Replaced in 1.1 - 1.2 with the tackle attack, how it works now is that Shadow dashes into Sonic.exe to stun him for 2 seconds and is mostly useful when Sonic.exe doesn't have his attack on him. It's now very useful to prevent teammates from being grabbed by Sonic.exe
I Personally Agree Cause Now He Acts Like A Stunner And Now Always Can Land His Clash (Shadow's Tackle And Knuckles' Block Effect Is Called A Clash) Everytime If You Know How To Land A Hit
It’s Literally just like shadow, he doesn’t really care for others but would help them sometimes(or not if your that one shadow main lmao)and would mostly never want to be included in anything(the dash getting u away(which makes no sense.)
I Always Go For The Frontcourt, Even If I Wasn't A Real Frontcourt Character, Being Able To Save Time/Buy Time/Distract Is Enough For Me To Place Him There, And I'd Honestly Switch His And Amy's Spots As Knuckles Is Just A Better Smy
2:00. You forgot one thing block doesn't work 90% of times im a knuckles main and that shit has almost never done its job regardless of how perfect you block
i think shadow still a bit weak than other characters so i think shadows passive can be buffed (nerves of steel) like 15 damage instead of 30 or slower bleeding can be helpful so he could still tank 1 hit without getting downed on classic mode or survive the grab without getting downed on hardcore mode (why would someone use grab on hardcore though)

I like the placement of mid ground because that’s what I do stat in a range where exe will most likely not see or go after me but to where my dash can let me revive a teammate quickly

YES I NEEDED THIS!!!! As a Shadow main, i cant really hit my blocks so this helped alot and it teached me how to use the dash properly. One thing when i block tho is sometimes i do it perfectly and it doesn't block. Maybe a glitch, maybe im js bad but anyway ty for this guide

Shadow is extremely useful when your the last one left, and you can use dash to zoom right into the ring.
if you somehow miss the dash then it's all over if you dont have tackle

A tip.for eggman: before you collect a red ring use you're jetpack boost or use shock so you can stun him before you get a speed boost.
