Synopsis:
Have you ever stopped to think if the most ordinary, uninteresting, unobtrusive man you might see on the road or around you might have a love story to tell? Maybe not! How can an ordinary man have a breathtaking, goose flesh igniting, awe inspiring love story of all things to tell?
This is what happened to Surinder Sahni (Shah Rukh Khan) - a simple, clean hearted, honest man, leading a humdrum life, when he meets his total opposite and finds love in the flamboyant, fun-loving, vivacious - Taani (Anushka Sharma) for whom the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with the colours of rainbow all until unforeseen circumstances changes it all and brings them together.

When she realized that her old fashioned unsmart husband was actually the most perfect man she could ever have and she always ignored his affection. Even being pushed aside, he never hesitated to give her everything she wanted. It showed the integrity of a common man. The realization filled her with deep regret and the movie missed the point entirely after that. If he never appeared in that final dance scene while she was waiting and finally moved on with her husband, the ending would’ve been a powerful one.

This scene never fails to make me cry. The way Taani looks at Surinder gives me goosebumps all over my body. She finally realizes that he is her true love and that she should cherish and love him forever. It's like an awakening moment for her and she can't help but be stunned and stare at her beloved husband (her God of sorts) in awe. SRK and Anushka really did a wonderful job in this movie. 5/5 from me, just for this moment alone.

This is a very sad scene because Suri tried to accept the fact that Taani will never love him as himself and he was willing to let Taani go with _someone else_ even though that someone is still him. At the same time, after Taani prayed to God, the realization hits her, that God is in her husband, and she tries to accept him too.
