Because that road, like the GC-200, are roads of continuous landslides. When the Highways were expanded from Puerto Rico to Mogán, it was decided to close that section and use only the GC-1, leaving the forks to Puerto Rico, Tauro and Taurito. The same will happen with the GC-200 when the new La AldeaAgaete road is finished. Currently, upon reaching Anden Verde you can no longer continue and when you reach the Barranco de La Palma you will have another detour to go through the tunnel. new since that road is currently through the passage of nature unusable and at least up to Faneroque beach the road will be there but the other half of the GC-200 as well as that road from Tauro to Mogán closed by order of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria [Government Entity of the island of Gran Canaria]
