im pretty sure bam influenced every kid that even thought about skating in a small town when he was in his prime. kids i used to know were obsessed with trying to be like him. i honestly enjoy his skating

Rofl I mean, what are ya gonna do? Most peoples whole goal when starting to skate is to get sponsored and make it somewhere. Bam just did that really fast. And it’s not like he’s forgotten his roots, he just rebuilt a whole skate park in his backyard and lets the whole Philly area plus him and his friends skate it every single night for the last few weeks. He’s not what he was in his prime, but *he* doesn’t really have to be. He proved himself back *then* when he himself needed to most. Nowadays he can just relax and skate.
I had the cky4 video in my moms van and me and my friends would always watch it whenever she drove. Good times

He wore his body down skating and doing jackass stunts. It's easy to say he should have kept putting out video parts but he always skated just because he loved it, I don't think he ever really took being a pro seriously.
i think when you get to his level of fame and like people idolizing you and stuff you kinda stop thinking its a job and look at it as a hobby, and if you think of it as a job it becomes lame so that might be part of it

Skating has nothing to do with it.. look at guys like Steve Cab or Tony Hawk.. they still skate everyday and they look healthy as a horse.. Bam got worn down by addiction, when his best friend Ryan died it took a part of bam with him.. bam has never been the same since and resorted to alcoholism.
@@ProofScopes He was already an alcoholic before Dunn died, Dunn didn't even like visiting Bam near the end. listen to the last Frantz and Novak podcast and it goes in depth, lately he's gone up the ranks of alcohol/cocaine to alcohol and meth. Hopefully he gets treatment.

Watching this really gave me a nostalgic feeling. I used to live in pa and I remember everyone wanted to be just like bam growing up. He inspired all of us and made us wanna skate! That’s all we did. I’ve lived in so cal for a few years now and this video gave me a vibe that I haven’t felt in a long time! Thank you for that 🤙

Greatest Bam skate edit I've seen. 10/10. The only thing missing is the huge kickflip at FDR park from his 2002 Adio part. "Philly Park" was his bitch.

I first saw bam ride almost 20years ago. Now that it’s almost 20 years later he still impresses me with old footage. Skating will never be like it was in late 90s early 2000s best time in my opinion. Never realize what a good time period it really was til seeing it again on video. 🤙🤙🤙

Back when skate parts/videos were just about having fun. So much progression and flow, solely because of the love for riding. Man. . .this makes me realize how fast everything changes. Nostalgic all in all though, this made me feel like a giddy kid again.

I always had a Sony handy cam It was an extension of my arm I filmed everything I love going back and seeing how simplistic it was but also knowing what a profound impact it had on me watching what cky and skateboarding had during this time.
