Wood to Digital - creative experiments

I’m an actress, voice over artist and puppeteer with 25 years of experience, based in South Africa. I hold a Master’s degree in English literature with a focus on storytelling for Virtual Reality. I’ve been working in Virtual Reality for five years, performing as an actress in the live feature-length VR show Alien Rescue.
This video, however, is a precursor to an article I am about to write, exploring the possible relationship between wooden, handcrafted objects and digital technologies. In a world increasingly digitised, how can we keep hold of, and utilise, the “real” within spatial technologies? That's the focus of the article.
