- Journalist Saurav Das in episode 2 looks at the “Larger Conspiracy Case” connected to the deadly February 2020 Delhi Riots. 21 accused have been charged under the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) as a result of which some of them have suffered long incarcerations. The Courts have been unable to come to their rescue. Das explains the apathy shown by India’s criminal justice system with the help of accused Salim Malik’s case.

The britishers used the same line of argument as you when Gandhi and Bhagat Singh were protesting. History is a witness to the fact that no change has ever come without inconveniencing anyone. A protest happens because other modes of communication breakdown (bills not discussed and rushed through in parliament, lack of consultations with public while making the bills, etc). If you don’t wanna be inconvenienced, ask for a better consultative process from your govt.
