I’m getting ready to buy a brand new Toyota TRD I’d like to lift it and new tires and rims just like your video what should I expect to pay for the entire project
Update.. so I had a 6" rough country lift with the up graded coilovers put on at 4wheelparts "4WP" it was in total 3100 bucks not to bad for what it is lots of lift from it. I'd say worth it.
I once had a 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and installed a 6 inch Trailmaster lift with a 3 inch body lift. The lift was professionally installed by a reputable company. Although it looked really nice and served its purpose off-road, I won't do it again. To many mechanical issues down the road....in my experience. This truck looks really nice though.
I had icon stage 2 kit installed on my 2019 Toyota Tacoma trd and all the screws were not tighten to specs when I had my alignment done after 200 miles. We the traveled Las Vegas the next morning. I was told when service was done the alignment that everything was loose. The Las Vegas alignment company told that I was lucky that nothing came apart during my drive to Vegas. They were nice to tighten the bolts. I did have to drive back to 88Rotors to have recheck their work. Pretty sad scenario since I live in San Francisco and drives down to ElMonte to have this work done.
ugh it was looking so good until you guys blocked the rear. whats the point in having king rear shocks if you have no leafs to prevent bottoming out? Also you're still running a sway bar still? I threw mine in the trash when I lifted with the 2.5 king coilovers and 700# coils.

I have 2018 Limited has a 14inch lift by bulletproof Coilovers costume made king shocks on FuryMT42x13.50T24x14 thing sits as high as a semi has a twin trubos 5.10 gears new built trans for the added hp and trq has a tune new intercooler straight down pipe 6inch tips has 2 54 inch light bars on the roof. Limo tint all 5 windows and push bars by kelderman armor bumper front rear paint to match. Air bags front and rear.
That long bed looks legit on 35’s. I’m not feelin’ the blocks in the rear tho. Is that the only way to get that much lift in the rear or do they make a monster leaf pack for it?
That may look good but not only it will need to be regeared but the pitch will be off on the driveline which ultimately will be chewing up the ujoints way sooner & the only way to correct this is having the rear axle ends cut & turned to compensate the pitch & even @ that if the ends are not cut precise the tires will wear very fast there is much that can go wrong with lifting a suspension this high would been better with some bit of a body lift instead.
I love this look! I have a 2WD and don’t off road. I’ve heard not too go too crazy or else I’ll lose my smooth driving and handling experience. What are your thoughts or opinions?
Do you guys do the regearing too? I plan to take my 2018 Tacoma OR to you as well but I want to get all my stuff together to get everything done at once. I already got the Rays and OEM Pro Grille. Just trying to decide on 3" or 6" lift. Either way, I want 35's. You guys did my lil bro's Tundra and it was legit.
Could you provide a list of all the components? I wanna do the same setup for mine as well! Also would this setup work with the ready lift kit or would I need to upgrade to the pro comp?
I’m guessing y’all had to cut a chunk out of the frame for the lift to fit? Is it possible to replace this chunk with fabricated metal and get someone to weld it back on so that I can go back to a stock lift?
My thoughts are what’s practical! Bigger wheel means more wheel for motor to turn so that means you need to change gearing just seems it would be harder on everything but what do I know?? I’m no Mechanic or engineer I just know from what I learned as a young man I am watching friends do you left on their vehicles and having all kinds of issues everything wears out faster but it definitely looks good I mean it Purdy uniform looking Work is nicely done
Why wouldn't you get wheels with the right offset instead of adding spacers? I could see a DIY'er needing to do it with poor planning, but a shop that does this regularly? Seems slack.
My guess is you would have to find the right rim you like with an offset big enough. He probably went with a rim he liked, but didn't offer any offset. Even with an offset, you will probably have to do a little chopping to get the tires to clear, even with a 6inch lift LOL. I'm not a fan of spacers either.
Do recommend changing the gear ratio after this much of a lift and the larger wheels and tires? Perhaps the 4,88 or 5.29 to keep the engine from working so hard
did you replace the CV axle to an extended one? are the uca the long travel 2'' total chaos version as well? stock leafs with block or after market with add a leaf and blocks?
Very nice setup !!! I have lift with 31 inch I am get ou 33 inch offset because to hard for wheel bearings and take over fuel Tres beau setup j'adore !!! Jai un lift kit 2 pouce et jaime bien jai enlever mes 33 pouces offset parce que trop dur pour les bearing de roues et sa consomme beaucoup trop de gaz Jai un frame flambete !!!! You can jump with this suspension ?? Thanks you for the vidéo !!🙂
Ok I had a Procomp 6 inch with kings on my 2012 FJ. with a Expedition 1 off road bumper. The only thing that sucks is skid plates! What do you do for skid plates. On FJ Forum anyone who has done this has the same question. With the cross member are you gaining any clearance too? The truck sits nice and looks great but with 35s you also have to regear and that’s another $3,000.00 just saying 🤷🏻

My most important question is does the owner know that if he purchased a extended warranty then he could have voided by A customizing and raising the wheels, B by not letting Toyota service do the work. Sorry I just don’t see the usage to lift it that high. My Toyota dealership said it’s quite possible you can void the warranty when you alter the shocks. Tires not so much but shocks yes.
Jose Gutierrez I have a 6 inch lift with 295s (that’s equivalent to a 34 1/2 inch tire, so almost 35s) and I get about 13 mpg at best. I haven’t re-geared them yet but when I do, I’m guessing I’ll get about 15.

Where can I get the steel plates for the BMC, for a 2016 Tundra?
Can you guys reply to the comments please, looks like you’re are duckin’ some legit concerns 👎🏽
The sway bar needs to be flipped, the driver side now goes on passenger. FYI
How much did this all cost ?
I’m getting ready to buy a brand new Toyota TRD I’d like to lift it and new tires and rims just like your video what should I expect to pay for the entire project
Dominic Toretto says "Not a bad way to spend 10,000 dollars"
AND.... void the warranty on a brand new truck!
For real it's so dumb that zthe stupid lift kits cost so much
Plus the extra $ at the gas pump!
Try $15000 minimum lol not including labor also and all that just to go to the mall but whatever makes people happy I guess

Before doing all that to your truck I’ve got one word for you
***REGEAR***
I've seen some people gearing up to 5.29, which would get it close to stock gearing, but not exact. Do you recommend anything else?
@@hardassteel You can have all the HP in the world but if the gears are not changing properly is pointless to have all the HP.
Looks like those fronts are going to rub hard with any kind of “flex”
What’s an avg. regear for a Tacoma cost ?

i feel like the dude taking is a DJ at a EDM festival commenting on the truck while raving
Nick Romero are I’m at the strip club
Meanwhile the truck is going to the mall then goto Monsterjam 🤣
😂😂
Wow, that looks aggressive. I personally wouldn’t do a 6 inch lift, but it does look awesome. Congrats to the owner and a job well done to the shop.
Why not?
I have a 4” lift on my 4Runner and am running 35” tires.
@@mocheen4837 hi, what did you use to get that lift on the 4Runner?
What’s wrong with 6?

🔥love it!! Amazing content!! Now I want 6" lift instead or 3" and put them 35 on😍
Perfection! Be nice to see a cost list as reference.

Great site! Short, concise, very informative, and not a lot of talking.
Thank you!
A 3 inch lift would be better suited for a short bed, but this setup is perfect for the long bed! Wheels and tires are the right sizes too

That's a sick lift . Love the wheel and tire combo. Whats the price on this including install?

It looks great, I have an 08 Tacoma prerunner, what would be better making it 4x4 or just buying a new one?
Love the inspection detail..... good work !!!!! props!
Im not a big fan of how stock Toyota's look but man when you put a 6 inch lift on them from an aesthetic point there are beautiful.
I wish you still installed the 6 inch lift on Tacoma's.
The 35s are sick with the 6inch lift!

💯perfect dammm maybe just some different type of rims
how much does a setup like that cost with king suspension and tires and rims and labor
Awsome look. Yes I would do this to mine. I have 3" lift on RevTech and 33" tires. Love how it handles.
What kind of MPG’s are you getting with that setup ? Thinking of running that myself.

Too bad they don't come in
Manual transmission for the 6ft bed

After installing the lift, how many inches do you recommend to drop the carrier bearing?
Can you still go through a drive through a and parking garages?
Do recommend changing the gear ratio after this much of a lift and the larger wheels and tires? Perhaps the 4,88 or 5.29 to keep the engine from working so hard
I would, I'm switching my 2011 Tacoma from stock 4.10s to 5.29s after a 3"lift and 33s
Great camerawork

Can you please list everything this truck has to give it the 6inch. What kind of spindle is it. Thanks im advance
