Nanny Mei likes talking to pandas, i think that’s why pandas like her, we think pandas won’t understand , but they do even they don’t talk, like dogs, they like you talk to them, i believe talking is the good way to communicate with animals , they hear our voices and tones, they understand, even they don’t talk

They are more advanced than humans
Just because they don’t speak our lingo, does not mean they don’t talk, they communicate well with us.
I had dogs that used to tell me when they were sick, terrified , frustrated when I was late by their behaviour.
One must learn their way of communicating.
