Hawi D'Ehre - Mountainbike Trailcenter HWW Wien (RAW)

This trail in the Trailcenter HWW in Vienna was initiated during the Wiener Wald Trails Cup 2019 under the most extreme conditions. Torrential rain that started during the race turned this trail into an unrideable literal slippery slope.
The trailcenter HWW is a genuine Viennese story and therefore also renamed all its trails after Viennese dialect phrases in 2020. That way this trail got its name "Hawi D'Ehre" which was an ancient way of saying "Hello" for Viennes pepole. These days the phrase is not so much used for greeting anymore but rather to express surprise, disbelieve or dismay. And therefore it may have been spoken more than once during the initiation of the trail described above. So the name is somwhow fitting.
There's another Enduro Trail in the Trailcenter, which is called "Ka Bemmerl" (formerly known as the "Enduro Line").
However with its tight corners and tricky off-camber sections Hawi D'Ehre is more difficult especially when the ground is wet.
The entry to the trail is not that easy to find, since it does not start at the trailhead like most of the trails. You rather go down a short section of the Flowline and reach the start of the trail in the first big right turn of the flowline. There's a sign there, but it can easily be overseen if you hit the coener at speed. Therefore I also left the first few meters of the flowline in this video.

Geil, habt ihr ein offizielles Trailcenter direkt im Wienerwald? Sieht schön aus! Cooler Trail, wobei der Flowtrail - Part am Anfang auch richtig gut und sauschnell aussieht! 😃

Ja, das ist das Trailcenter Hohe Wand Wiese (HWW). Liegt vor den Toren Wiens und nutzt das Gelände eines ehemaligen Skilifts. Ein paar coole Typen haben vor einigen Jahren beschlossen es mit einem Trailcenter zu probieren und seit ein paar Jahren ist es der Nukleus einer unheimlich tollen Bike-Szene in der Stadt. Ich muss im kommenden Frühjahr mal wieder einen kompletten Location Check machen. Es hat sich einiges getan in den letzten Jahren.
