Summary-
1. No discount on best selling car and good discount on less selling car
2. Check car before booking (pre delivery inspection) - not in late evening
3. Check tyres and manufacturing date
4. Check oil if it black and ask to change. Also check battery... Seats ... Carpets.. Engine noise...
5. Push dealer for discount
6. If model is old then definitely get discount so don't show need to dealer and also show that you can go for other model
7. Ask for manufacturing year and month of the car - service is close in that case
Rachit Excellent information for new buyers . But one think u forgot always check the exshowroom price of car in ur city at company website bcz most of dealers manipulate exshowroom price of car by 5k 7k which I observed while booking tiago xza for my uncle.
That is a good point to make.

Hi Rachit, very useful indeed. Planning to buy Honda Jazz Cvt VX model for my mom. On road price is approx 10.23 laks but after hard negotiations the dealer is offering it for 9.25 laks. But someone told be to be cautious about the BBNS ( bought before not sold cars) that some dealers smartly sell to buyers. How do I know if the car is not BBNS? 1 dealer told me that he has to order the car from Honda so I am wondering if the car is not in his stock then how is he offering such a huge discount? Anything fishy there, u think?

One addition to your explanation i want is that. As car showrooms will be baned from selling BS4 models from Merch 2020 onwards. And If I want to buy nexon car in this December 2019. Do u think that iff i wait till mid Feb of 2020 and want to buy only BS4 engin car then dealer will provide huge discount in the deal, should i wait till feb 2020 or not. As it may happen that nexon BS4 could become out of stock in coming jan and feb. Should i wait or not

Ecosport is an excellemt car with a great build quality. But i suggest you to wait till feb because mahindra is ready to launch Xuv 300 may be you will get more value for money product in that price tag.

I took a test drive of its mannual asta model, but found it lags acceleration, much lower than my beat...the dealer said that the pick up and acceleration will go up with subsequent services... That is the work of dealer. If he doesn't have in stock and get it for you. Its a huge profit for them. Dealers work is not to just sell cars that are in stock. Their work is to sell as many cars as possible.
