Odly enough hayley said (when she performed in it in the concert I was at anyway) she said she was covering it because they are from Tennessee and everyone kept asking them if they liked country music and what kind and that they really didnt but they got asked alot and then sung it and then later did it in her dedication album.. So I kind of think it was set up for that album.
@@Alexis07261 very late, but what happened was (according to a conversation i had w hayley a few months after this), they weren't singing it the first time with loretta lynn's album in mind. they didn't know about it. they performed it once, here, because it was the old home of the grand old opry and people used to perform at this venue with no amps or mics, and they wanted to do a song like that as a special thing. and then, afterwards, loretta lynn watched this video and decided she wanted them to cover this song on her tribute album. isn't that wild??? like.. loretta lynn watched my video! it's crazy.

I can't get enough of this cover. Watched all the Paramore covers of this song here on YT - about 8 I think - they're all great but I keep coming back to this one. Love the way Hayley belts out the lyrics without amplification - and totally controls the crowd. And the rendition is perfect, flawless.

I love almost all walks of music... but I love nothing more than seeing artists who play rock being open minded enough to appreciate and pay homage to country. After all, rock did descend from country and blues.

1) Hayley is completely awesome, 2) I loved her hair like that, miss it a lot, 3) Josh is a toolbox for the things he said after he left the band, and 4) Who needs him? Hayley, Taylor and Jeremy will do just fine, moving ahead. I do miss Zac though, he was a great drummer.
A reply to an old post brought be back here, and it reminded me that if Paramore, or Hayley solo, released a completely country album, I would buy it in a heartbeat. She sure makes it sexy.

I saw Paramore in concert way back during the 2010 Honda Civic Tour and this was honestly my favorite part of the whole concert.
