Every time he talks about her reputation really all the heat just wanted to get back at this girl that girl did nothing and no harm it's his reputation in his homework that he's worried about he really don't care for her because he's going to throw her in jail and did so many things to her he's not even right I don't even think he knows how to be a prince or a king or whatever the hell he is but I know he's not a man and when he knew that his wife otherwise was killing people he didn't punish her at all he didn't do nothing to her

Okay, I get that Hailan's conversation with her maid Yexin was for the purpose of explaining Ruyi's instructions in the birthday treat for the Emperor for the audience, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT does anyone else wonder why the hell she has to have that conversation in front of all of her servants while walking back to Yanxi Palace? I get this kind of conversation with one's senior maid and eunuch on staff, but I'd be a lot more cautious of what I say in front of my other servants. Even if they have proven to be loyal and trustworthy, it just makes more sense to keep the number of people in the know to a minimum.
I get that, but I still it's ridiculous and stupid thing to do and not something Hailan, who at this point has gotten really good at playing the the harem survival game, would have done. It would have made more sense to film a scene this scene in Yanxi Palace where she and Yexin were alone.
@@athenaevarinya2340 Servants can't casually accuse their masters. That's an automatic death sentence. Even if what was said was proven to be true, a servant will still be killed. You weren't loyal to your master, how do we know you won't stab us in the back next?
That may be true, but Hailan is still casually explaining stuff while they're walking back to Yanxi palace. Even if her servants won't say anything for fear of their lives, the walls have ears, so to speak. This kind of conversation is better kept to inside Yanxi Palace so no rival concubine can hear and use it to her advantage to take out Hailan and Ruyi.
I put it down to "suspension of disbelief" for dramatization. Every movie and TV show has a few unrealistic scenes because it's a bit better for drama and/or timing/pacing of the overall movie or episode
I just rewatched this last night, and I guess I missed it, but the Emperor had Suoxin go through the tortured!! I was not happy!
