I have a noob question. I just did my first dungeon last night. Abilities would pop up at the bottom of the screen like "Press X To Purify". What are these? Where did they come from? I do not have these abilities and they only appear in dungeons.
This is a synergy! Someone in your group is running a skill that has an extra effect group mates can use. The one you saw to purify is a Templar skill, when you use this synergy you heal yourself and get rid of any negative status effects put on you. There are different synergies for every class, but you’ll only see them when you’re in a group, and they’re always useful!
@@cozycaster Oh awesome. Thank you for the explanation! When it pops up, is it telling me I should go ahead and use it? Or is there a debuff section I should pay attention to and only use it when needed? Coming from WoW of 16 years, so it's hard to re-learn everything haha.
@Jayy8Bit there are a couple of exceptions in trials mechanics, but for the most part if you see a synergy - use them! Debuff descriptions are in your character screen, but if you go into your combat settings you can turn on buff and debuff icons to make it easier to see the debuffs while you’re fighting
I am a new player in 2024. When I first queued up for the dungeons I literally thought tank just needed to be tanky. There is some design flaw in this game that promotes fake roling. Most people learn the game by being a DPS, tank and healer are actually for more advanced players who understand the mechanics better. This results in a lack of good tanks/healers in the queuing system.
It’s the biggest problem the game has unfortunately! Good supports can make or break a team in end game, but they are such mechanic heavy roles and the only reason for them IS the really difficult group content. I’m not sure how they are going to combat it with DPS creep being so excessive at this point 😅
@cozycaster well, I am still learning. I have to say, I enjoy this game much more than the AAA titles produced these days. And the community is generally nice.
If you’re just starting with dungeons now, there’s 26 in the base game - more than enough to enjoy! DLC dungeons kick the difficulty up quite a bit, a lot of people will actually have a better first experience (from queuing to the actual bosses) without all the DLC!
This should be officially used by ZOS. Well done. Be a great tutorial video👊
Thank you so much!
This is a very well made vid. Thank you
Omfg , thank you so much !!! This is the best explanation video I've seen thank you so so much !!!
I’m so glad it was helpful 😊 enjoy your dungeoning!
Nice video
As a beginner, this was a fantastic video. Most “beginner” videos for eso seem to expect you to have a lot more knowledge. Thank you!
I’m glad you found it helpful, thank you! Are there any other topics you’d want to see explained more so from a beginner standpoint?
Keep up the great content 😎👍🏻
great content.

So it costs money-_-
