Love those sanding sticks. That looks similar to Flex-I-File, which is what I have always used. -Engine came out stellar (at least up to this point)… I will admit I have already peaked at RC4WDs completed promo video of this… 😝 😊 Cheers!
Awesome!! I just got my rc4wd v8 and a few transmissions.. It has a 3D printed Edelbrock fuel injected intake, but no headers, I want this old school set up. I can’t wait to get it all together..
I didnt on this one, It does have a ton of detail. I was torn between the patina and the shine of new parts on the engine, lol. This build ends up very mild as my patina usually goes.
Man I want to build a real gaser 57 chevy from front to back been in this hobby just over year and half the biggest is my xrt ultimate to my maxx slash to my crawlers my dad died and my doctor told me to get a hobby YAH !!!!! LOVE IT
I'd be damn proud to look at the giveaway ratrod on my shelf after hooning it.😜😆 Good idea using the TS paint on the engine, curious how well it would hold up but from the sanding, well is my guess. Did you clearcoat the heads so they didn't oxide up?.😉
lol, The paint seemed pretty solid. I didnt do anything to the heads, let it age like a fine wine, lol. All my old scratchbuilds are rusting up nicely over time.
@RCeveryday Fair1 Marra, it was your green Defender 110 that brought me to the channel but the cool AF scratchbuilds ratrods were a big reason for staying. If you haven't got enough to film already, I reckon a video on how the OGs have aged, maybe a drive, would be mint.👍🏻
Might could do a rig update video soon, trying to get a few done before an event coming up at the moment. I wonder where that d110 body is at now days, one of few I have sold.
Nice motor , I have all the Edelbrock parts for a build also one of these days. Chris at Rouge Elements hands down makes some of the best CNC machined aluminum RC parts! Made in USA! I have some other RC parts from him also .I wish that he would make more stuff! Did you say that you painted that aluminum with the Tamiya PS paint? I thought it was for lexan only and didn’t realize it would work on aluminum?
It is some nice stuff, I painted it with tamiya TS paints. TS-6 matte black. It worked fantastic on the aluminum. Light coats and it didnt gum up any of the threaded holes at all.
Rogue Elements machined parts are so cool. I am glad to know he's still around making stuff.
Great and beautiful job. Congratulations👏👏👏👍👍

Wow! Nice job!!!
That looks absolutely amazing, Josh! I would love to win, but good luck to everybody else too!
Too cool for school like the realistic stuff.
I want that motor and trans for a build I'm working on, but dang it's expensive!
Will you be 'washing' the intake to bring out the detail ? It's looking sooo good.

Repeating myself, it's looking very cool, someone's getting a gem !
