The shock is that she was feeling so well, she nearly cancelled her annual checkup ... and then the timeframe ... crikey ... but the hospital she's in has a specialist cutting edge research lab, on this particular cancer, attached so it's just take it day by day ... xx

@@maighstirtarot5385 It is exactly the same as with my grandfather. He wasn’t sick. Just had an episode of fatigue one day and went to the doctor. Was a WW2 vet and the strongest guy I’ve ever known. Then to be told it was mere weeks was more than a shock, it was devastating. My brother and I were in college. I was panicking to get home in time. He passed on New Years. I skipped going to a party and was with him. Just my Aunt and I. Will never forget the feeling that I had to see him. He made me promise him 3 things before he passed. I kept 2 and should work on the 3rd, travel the world. Your update on your mum brought a flood of memories, it has a ripple effect, and a connection to you and others who’ve experienced this. I so hope advances in medicine can extend your mums quality of life and your outcome for time is better. Hugs from New York.
