"content thief"
K-Dot wasn't angry because he was mentioned, he was angry because he was compared to Drake, as we know Drake is an actor, not a rapper
That part. Kenny saw Drake for who he really was after he dropped the Control verse (if not earlier). That man has been plotting Drake's demise for more than a decade!
"just say my name and i promise you'll see candyman"
imagine being asleep when allat dropped 😭
I was up for days❄️☃️⛄👃🏾🤣
Australians be like with AEST 3am when the diss dropped
I didn’t know about any of this stuff until the morning after because I was visiting someone out of town

You missed 6:16 In LA
The prelude to MTG
This rap beef didnt "Save" anything, rap doesnt die.
I would argue that it did save hip hop, in that it showed that lyrics, like books, black lives, and albums, still matter!
@@esmooth919i agree but rap never was dying for sure
Its needs a rebirth forget the pass and start fresh
@@jhardi_official366 well, Slim Shady is back so we're gon be alright
@@MTF-EPSILON-11-5-NULLyou sure about that?
We're at the end of an era and theres nothing close to a potential future leader from the new generation.
Tell me what new rapper can be the next Kendrick? Or Cole? Or even just maybe do the numbers of Drake in the future? There are zero real prospects. Zero real contenders.
Rap absolutely is dying. And Drake is a big reason why. Ending his reign, and it being ended by an artist as talented as Kendrick, is exactly what rap needed. And I say artist for a reason, because Drake just straight up fucking isn't one.
The end of Drake's reign is the best thing that's happened to rap in recent memory.
This feud didn't save hip hop because hip hop wasn't dying. If anything it reinvigorated Kendrick Lamar's rap career considering "last shit was tragic" according to J Cole. It was a great feud that thankfully lasted longer than Eminem vs MGK and Drake vs Push T.
No! Hip hop been dead. The moment you extract the people from the culture they created hip hop died.
Kendrick's career definitely wasn't reinvigorated, he's coming off the highest grossing hip-hop tour of all time (pre drake tour)
@@ks_wallace2324 yeah but he's been gone for 5 years
The beef didn’t save hip hop imo, nothing will really change about it. It’s a moment for 2024 but I think 2025 everything is back to what it was
I hope tf not man, rap needed this. It would’ve died with Travis, Uzi, Yachty, etc
@@samsonnicholas576 yeah I hope so too but I just doubt it
@@samsonnicholas576 I'm kind of an outsider, so I can say I didn't really care much about hip-hop until this beef. A lot of what I regularly despised about it was really down to "I'm rich and famous because I am rich and famous ". After looking into the beef more, I can actually really appreciate what Kendrick is trying to do
Agreed. Rap is on its deathbed...
Thank you for doing this. I agree with you it was a vital demonstration of the art of rap in the mainstream, throughout it. SOME NOTES (Respectfully): You forgot "6:16 in LA" which came after "Meet" the Grahams" ....the disses in 6:16 LA and Euphoria contain explanations of how assuming culture and experience you do not have is offensive.
6:16 came before meet the graham's
@@luvadougla I disagree. Meet the Graahams droped minutes after midnight and 6:16 in LA dropped around lunch time on Friday, May 3
@@UsefulEducationyou’re bugging
@@Ikennaobinkaart Like that, Pushups, the 2pac AI thing, Euphoria, Family Matters (11:40ish pm May 2nd), Meet the Grahams (less than 30 minutes after May 3) then 6:16 in LA (sometime also on May 3) then not Not Like Us
BTW, I stand corrected: th-cam.com/video/I1EHzJ_4jEI/w-d-xo.html
missed 6-16 in LA
ur right my bad
@@DillyRants you’re good, otherwise good vid
Crazy Theory:
J Cole was in on it with Kendrick and did exactly what he did on “First Person Shooter” to gas Drake up to make sure Drake’s downfall was super hard.
😂😂😂😂😂🤔🤔🤔🤔
Whynahell folks always thinking hip hop/rap is on life support and needs to be "saved"? 😄
Good hip-hop is and always has been available, and also easily accessible these days and anyone who thinks otherwise plain out ain't looking.
Dot vs Drake was to rap what Wrestlemania 40, which happened the same day Cole apologized, was to wrestling. 2024 served and we ate
this was a great video bro
It bothers me that y’all don’t know why Kendrick really dissed them back. Yea it was a response but it really wasn’t but only to a different track on the album
Drake is like vegan rap, theres no substance to it, its all for the radio
Lol. Nah. Drake.is fast food. Vegan feeds your body.
Good analysis.
You forgot Taylor made and 6:16 incomplete report!
He mentioned Taylor made
did you use take the a train as background music?
Bias
I was in bed waking up scrolling like whats happening?
U midded 6:16 in la
This saved nothing. Beef is the worse beef art of hip hop. Pep are still dropping drug and gun songs and drake is still selling out.
Kendrick is not your savoir
