Yo no joke, no troll, no shit. The dude that your saying is trolling and not to listen to him.. sorry sir but he is right. I used the origonal 9v 500ma +over- adaptor and all sudden the thing stopped working with the adaptor unless i put in the 6aaa then connected the adaptor, at that point i could unplug the batteries and the adaptor would work fine, power off and back on adaptor only.. until i waited a while unplugged.. then adaptor would not power on the unit.. so i have an adjustable power adaptor that goes from 3.3,6.5, 9.5, 12, 13.7, 15, 17.9vdc and has a polarity switch.. so set to the 9.5vdc + over- it powers on, but printing i get the battery!.. so i flipped it up to the 12vdc same polarity and ill be damned if it works like normal now.. display dark and responsive, no problems, no batteries.. ledt it on for a bit, no issues, no magic blue smoke, no escaping pixies it fucking works.. so yea, thank you dude that said 12v on both this dudes posts, your fuggn right and the 9.5 v turns it on but no dice.. all is normal in the neighborhood now, the wife has her beloved batteries back for the ole electric finger and has her labeler to label it accordingly so i dont give it to the boy again as a fancy passifier.. caught hell for that but i kept telling her its ok, he wont know if we dont tell him and when his balls drop if he acts like a dildo we can tell him he used his moms as a passifier when he was a baby.. win win...
Ahh i hope somebody reads that, thats comedy right there.. true story tho.. im not to bright when the little poop bag wont shut the fuck up crying on because the damn remote dropped on his little foot. Told em sorry my bad but noo, sir shits alot dont care.. and the damn dog loves them damn passifiers, eats em like candy.. situations i put myself in.. fyi, i bought another electric finger just like my wives and gonna give it to junior sometime when she pisses me off. Gonna be great! Ha!
I have tested it with a variable power supply: The Brother PT-2004 needs at least 10.1 Volts to work. A 9.5 Volt power supply is not enough! Tip: Works fine with a 12 volt power supply!
I have the recommended 9.5 volt power supply and it doesn’t work.
Glad you explained the issue. I will get the appropriate power supply.

But it says right there that it requires 12v
