Ah, my first love. Hated playing against Deep when I was still new to the game but after having enough resources to craft it and playing it myself it became my favorite archetype ❤
I noticed recently that you started uploading lost games again, let me just say that it makes the videos much more interesting to watch. without the loses it basically turned from "will he draw what he needs" to "okay he is about to draw that card obviously" which is a lot less interesting to watch.
In that last game, freezing the lifesteal WOULD be correct since they have enough hp left, the problem is they still have no cards left in their deck, so ultimately it doesn't make a difference.
Maokai is one of those "I do my thing (that have nothing to do with trying to win btw) until I win because my card says so" decks. That's why I don't like it. And nowadays he flips quite fast and has a watery grave to take from you the last 4 turns you are supposed to have, it is even more frustrating
I just recently came back to lor after a long pause. Always loved playing deep and freeze decks. But absolutely no fan of maokei and jettison. The alternative win con hardly ever matters. Even the 4 mana kill and revive an ally from shadow Isles is better and can often toss 3 cards instantly. Still not the best substitution but still better than maokei imo. And while jettison can help getting into deep really fast, after playing one the others often become dead draws later on. Just my personal experience though. Wish we had some more toss cards in other regions. But drawing cards is often just as good
Maybe my most played archetype with different iterations, something everyone should play once in they're life. Super satisfying if you manage to not get smashed by elder dragon
