The first fully electronic mortgage closing in North Carolina was conducted on May 5, 2017. North Carolina combines secure technological advances with the most trusted form of identity verification, in-person eNotarization, enabling North Carolinians to realize the many benefits of a completely electronic mortgage closing process.

Are there banks and title companies and lawyers in a conglomeration that notaries can contact to be of service to this industry?

There is no "conglomeration" that has formed in NC for notaries/eNotaries. Any notary wanting to participate in eClosing activities would need to have a working relationship with a lender or a law firm/settlement service.
