There was a play late in the second quarter where the ball was out on his defender (Melli) but the referee gave the ball to Italy
I swear it flipped a switch: he started making every shot, and he didn't stop until Italy was 30 points behind

Haliburton should definitely start over Brunson. The slow start is why Lithuania beat USA the other day. Lithuania came out firing all cylinders. They wouldn't allow USA to settle in enough to get going. Tyrese Hali would definitely speed the tempo up & he a better shooter & facilitator than brunson because he's difficult to guard so you never know if he's gonna drive, shoot the 3, or simply just pass the ball. Haliburton over Brunson all day

Damn... this was a complete walk over, italy must step up their ball game. Hard for them to compete with any top 5 country. It was hard to see, and also Fontecchio is nowhere near as good or elite as italians were claiming him to be. He's fine, yeah, and the best in their roster, agreed, but that's not hard considering what they have. Banchero would have been a good addition for them, let's see what can they develop in the next years
Italy missed a lot of wide open 3 point shots, which lead to easy fast break points for the americans. The gap in physical capabilities was huge too: the USA were faster, stronger and jumped higher.
Dame Sarr and Maikcol Perez are the future for Italy
Please watch more games before saying dumb stuff. Fontecchio is that guy, he just couldn’t do everything by himself this game. Watch our game against Serbia; we shot badly here but that’s what happens when our shot’s falling. And fontecchio single-handedly made us comeback. We can’t compete with the US at all, but don’t disrespect SIMONEFONTECCHIO
nobody in Italy claimed that about Fontecchio!?! It is already a miracle for him to have reached the level He is at now. He overachieved if anything so we are proud of him...we know we don't have any talent at the moment, sad but true.

This Team USA was a national embarrassment, but at least unlike the 2019 (and 2002) team, in the most important game of the tournament, the quarterfinals which if you lose you can't even make top 4, not only did they win but they won in resounding fashion so at least they weren't as pathetic as 2002 & 2019 teams.

@@jonvicmamon2529 Let's see, I know Fiba basketball well, you can't compare. Just because they are both in the NBA doesn't mean they are equally good. Bogdanovic is three levels above Fontecchio. And just because two players are playing in the Euroleague does not mean that they are equally good. The first thing that Serbia has that Italy does not have is centimeters inside the zone. The Serbian players are much more important, only Melli is in Italy, playing as a 5 when he is a 4. Italy is an unbalanced team, Serbia is not.
How come Germany is 6:0 now and USA is 5:1 ,so USA not best team! Germany is momentarly best team in the wc when it comes to wins ! Just saying! 😅😊
