I’ve made durable fatwood wedges, bearing blocks, but what I’m highlighting today a Fatwood Multi-Purpose Bow Drill Bearing Block. Check out the video LINK below to learn how to make you own. I also demonstrate 2 ways to ignite fatwood sticks, how to renew used up divots in the multi-purpose bow drill bearing block, how to scrape fatwood off a pine knot with a folding saw and then to ferro rod ignite it using the same saw.
Come check it out. Please follow the LINKs below and SUBSCRIBE. Thank You!

Thanks for Sharing. Making a campfire without matches or a lighter is imperative for a Bushcrafter. Stay Safe

    Fatwood is incredible.
As you mentioned it, a bic lighter is one of the best firemaking tool ever.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen that cool little yellow sharpener in quite a while... I guess we all know what your next video might be..?! I know you already have plenty to spine sharpening video already, but I'd love to see a new, current one. Thanks for making my lunch-break interesting and not boring. I really look forward to your daily (or almost daily) videos during my work week. Keep on keepin' on, sir. Thanks again for sharing your craft.

True, my pocketknife's, Mora's, and probably the putty-knife knife's spines are all dull. The spine on my folding saws I sharpen with the grinder.

David - have you ever tried using a vegetable peeler to make fat wood shavings?

No, nor a pencil sharpener, grater, or box rasp. I like scrapings and feathers.

Is it "PC" to call it a piece of wood with obesity?
