The big problem with casting Liam Neeson as Ra's is that he's pretty good as a pick for Henry Ducard, but then the writing for the twist falls apart because he's a terrible choice for Ra's. Like this whole messy casting for the plot twist could have been avoided if instead of being Ra's it's revealed he was either working for or loyal to Ra's and betrayed Bruce that way. This is an example of careless writing brought upon by merely seeing these characters and the roles they play as tools instead of anything worth actually caring about creatively. Their own script matters more than the source material to many filmmakers, and it's a balancing act these films fail often despite being good movies overall still.
In regards to setting up Batman’s successor, I’ve said for years they should have given Barbara Gordon cameos in the first two and given ‘John Blake’s’ role in _Rises_ to her
The villains plan in every movie goes according to plan until the third act. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be a menacing villain. Infinity War, Se7en, The Batman, Voldemort in Harry Potter, along with almost any other antagonist you can think of
Fun fact, apparently Maggie Gyllenhal couldn’t stand Christian Bale. And it comes across way more clearly than these two could’ve ever gotten together romantically. If anything, then come across as two people who hooked up, Bruce caught feelings, and she grew to regret that choice and hate Bruce. It really felt like there were two different Rachels like you stated. And to be honest, I don’t blame Katie Holmes for thinking these were teen drama movies. I mean she read the script haha. Joking aside, Rachel should never have been a character in the first place. And if so, she shouldn’t have ever had a connection to Bruce, only Harvey.
Nolan said it in an interview about his Joker. He said "He was an absolute." Meaning, no back story. No development. He is just there. I feel he did the same for Crane. Crane's story does not add to the trilogy so there was no need to tell it.
To be fair on foreshadowing Robin, Harvey Dent did say “He’s (Batman) looking for someone to take up the mantle… he doesn’t wanna do this forever, how could he?”, and Bruce’s reaction was definitely in agreeable. So there is some precedence to Batman taking up a successor
Vee, I know I brought this up many times before, and I’m sure you’re sick of hearing it by now, but with your knowledge and love of all things DC I am dying to hear your take on the short lived, but in my opinion, very funny and awesome DC live action comedy show, powerless.
Hot take that I don’t think should be a hot one: I don’t care if a character always needs to be saved in a superhero movie. 1. Because the whole point of these movies is for the hero to save people and 2. Realistically, a normal person would not be able to save themselves in a scenario that would take place in a comic movie. I only think people get upset about it when it’s a woman because people just extrapolate that to “Well I guess they’re sexist and don’t think women can do anything on their own”. No, I don’t think “love interest A” could solve a crime or stop themselves from being captured by a supervillain. People just wanna get upset about shit
Victor zaz as a mad man that kills for the mob can work mob bosses gathering every week to settle him with bodies that he can take his time with until they need someone bigger taken care of
I need to apologize to you Vee. I claim to be a fan but its so much ish that i missed cause i didnt have on my notifications to your channel. 12+ hours later and im still finding new videos. 😂
I always thought pt was way overrated. Ledger's performance was legendary and it had a lot of great ideas, but I still say Nolan can't direct action scenes nor a decent 3rd act to save his life. Although this is probably his best 3rd act.
vee, i wonder if you think how much of the nolan series could have been saved if Heath didn't pass away, and we got to have the 2-movie joker arc that Nolan intended instead?
These videos make me want to watch the movies again. Mostly Begins as it has been a while since I first saw it. Rises kinda sucked so I'm not in a hurry to watch. Also makes me want to play Lego Batman
Why do You only see problems in DC movies? What about a video talking about the problems in Avengers 3 and 4? Or the problems in Civil War that copy Batman v Superman?
I have to disagree with your take on John Blake, taking up the Batman mantle. He was not really developed much, but he did not have to be. The entire point of his characters inclusion was to give a wink to the Rob fans, but also to cement the fact that even if it is not Bruce, there will always be a Batman in Gotham moving forward. It just brings the idea From Batman begins full circle. The Batman is not just a man, it is a symbol, and idea. Would I have liked to have seen more development and possibly in the other two films of this trilogy for John Blake, absolutely. But his sheer existence and inclusion is just to be able to pass the mantle on. Nothing more. So I don’t really mind that we didn’t get much development with him. The idea of the Batman being a symbol and an idea came full circle, and that was all it was meant to do. Having said that, I think it would be great for Christopher Nolan to step back into this universe. Perhaps not directing a complete trilogy, but he could direct the first film and handoff the directing duties to another director in the sequels.I would love to see John Blake as Batman and through flashbacks, we could get more of his development. It could work, and I would love to see it happen.
you can be a fan and still ciriticize these movies they might be good but that doesnt mean they have to be liked and there are a lot of flaws in all three movies stop acting like they dont exist
I don’t agree with your premise but Vee is a contrarian just ti be a contrarian. I don’t believe he actually believes many of the things he says. It’s normal for people to hold some contrarian views but when most of someone’s views are contrarian chances are they’re pretending to hold those views because they think it makes them seem special. Pretty lame when you think about it.
Whenever I see Talia's death scene, Mr. Burns' voice pops in my head, "We did 20 takes, and *that* was the best one."
Don’t cry for me I’m already dead
Fin
😅😅😅
I
That scene was hilariously bad
Seeing kevin conroy at the end of these videos is always such a delight. Rip Batman
I would love a comic accurate Scarecrow as the main villian in a live action film.
The dark knight Nolan’s trilogy is one of my favorite trilogies in general despite its flaws.

Despite loving this film I found it a little contrived how all Joker's plans work out perfectly until the end.
The villains plan in every movie goes according to plan until the third act. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be a menacing villain. Infinity War, Se7en, The Batman, Voldemort in Harry Potter, along with almost any other antagonist you can think of

the fact that cillian murphy returned in everymovie even the one animated one and the game is crazy
That wasn’t Cillian Murphy in Gotham Knight, that was voice actor Corey Burton.
@@DCMarvel2009 I was speaking of his character not the acter but you are correct
Imagine if James Gunn cast Joesph Gordan Levitt as Batman in the DCU.
😢
i liked arrow's interpretation of him even tho it was green arrow
Fun fact: Henri Ducard was created in the comics by Sam Hamm, co-writer of Batman (1989)

Please check kiteman and batman cape crusader. Both series are interesting as babydoll is back
Yo vee what do you think about the new Batman? It’s called Batman:caped crusader
Please do another Gotham video again. On Scarecrow and also Mad Hatter.
Should we expect a video on Caped Crusader soon?
Please do a video on Batman cape crusader
My question is who led the League of Shadows before Ras al-Ghul? They were around for centuries according to the movie.
I need to apologize to you Vee. I claim to be a fan but its so much ish that i missed cause i didnt have on my notifications to your channel. 12+ hours later and im still finding new videos. 😂
"still feels true to the character"
*shows a sequence where Batman uncharacteristically lets a villain die even though he could've saved him*
I always thought pt was way overrated. Ledger's performance was legendary and it had a lot of great ideas, but I still say Nolan can't direct action scenes nor a decent 3rd act to save his life. Although this is probably his best 3rd act.
Nothing says Villain like someone named CRAIG McGUFFIN..Nolan really missed out 😂
How is someone without years of training supposed to become Batman without getting killed on his first night?
Ra's even admits that Ken Watanabe's character
vee, i wonder if you think how much of the nolan series could have been saved if Heath didn't pass away, and we got to have the 2-movie joker arc that Nolan intended instead?
We need Victor Zsasz in the new movie.
If not for the death of joker the third movie would be completely different and wish he would at least write it
This is really some Capt. Obvious type revelations. Guess there's someone that needs it broke down in crayon out there.
Hi your my fav TH-camr😊
These videos make me want to watch the movies again. Mostly Begins as it has been a while since I first saw it. Rises kinda sucked so I'm not in a hurry to watch.
Also makes me want to play Lego Batman

how about a link to part 1? since you have like 18 of these with slightly diff titles.....
How about Victor zazz
Hypocritical take on Ra's race, but I agree completely, Ra's should have been Asia, jusa interesting hearing you say it
WATCH CAPED CRUSADER AND REVIEW IT!
Why do You only see problems in DC movies?
What about a video talking about the problems in Avengers 3 and 4? Or the problems in Civil War that copy Batman v Superman?
I disagree. To each their own.
The only problem is that BATMAN didn’t have BAT-NIPPLES 😂
The Joker was the hero of the story.
😂 the 3rd is a mess but still better than any deadpool or disney marvel movie 😊
Very random
Uhhh no

we get it you hate the Nolan movies and love Matt reeves Batman somehow lol.
You really just do not watch these videos huh
Come on you know this person is being a troll any actual Batman fan would never criticize the dark Knight movies
I didn't know you spoke for me. Glad I don't have to waste my time thinking for myself when I have you.
you can be a fan and still ciriticize these movies they might be good but that doesnt mean they have to be liked and there are a lot of flaws in all three movies stop acting like they dont exist

I see it as a fan of these movies. I don’t really see any problem with these movies. I think they were good as they originally were.
Any actual fan would have varying degrees of criticism for all the adaptations.
