It's so nice to see when other people have just as many notebooks on the go as me! I have what I like to call a 'project journal' which is where I write down and plan out anything and everything from DIY projects to outfit ideas which can be a bit chaotic but I make it work, I've also had the same project journal for three years now so I'm getting close to being able to start a new one!
Oh what a wonderful journal idea! It must be amazing to flip back through your project journal and see all the things you’ve done! 😍
I would love to have a project journal for all my creative ideas. But how do you organize it? Even thinking about it already gives me a headache XD
@@isilife4331 I usually dedicate a page or two to a project at a time and then make sure I leave a little space to add new thoughts or ideas to it at a later time, and if I need more space I'll just create a new page for it later in the journal, but most of my projects are small & don't take too long to finish so I rarely need to worry about going back and looking at previous pages too often. I'm also using it almost every single day so I kind of have the layout memorised so I don't need an index, I thrive in organised chaos so it works for me, but I'd recommend trying a few things out in a cheap notebook & you'll soon find what works for you & what doesn't!
The giveaway journal is looking amazing, great job!
Thank you so much! ❤
Love the Kuma and A&O journal. Super cute ❤ I use 3 or 4 journals in the year for different things. It's nice to have a place to do certain things so they are all kept together in order....I understand now why people aren't surprised I'm a librarian.
It’s all making sense now 😉 I totally agree, it’s an everything-in-its-place thing isn’t it! What are your journal purposes for your separate books?
@@ErinSmithI have my everyday day bujo, a reading journal, long form journalling (which is the one I started with back when I was but a youngling) and I have a lined notebook that I use to form my ideas and brainstorm goals etc.
I've planned to make a Tarot journal for years but haven't ever sat down to do it. I'm trying to compile all the meanings from my various references so I can have my interpretations at the front of the journal and wow is that taking time!
Otherwise I love my reading journal and my bullet journal :) I may make a media review journal this year to write about things other than books I consume, like podcasts, tv shows, games. Should be fun!
I only use one I combine my personal and my bujo together which has helped me complete the journal better. And I realized after your stream the other day the blue frames from journalsay are stickers!!! It kinda blew my mind 😂
A one-and-done is so satisfying too 🥰
Love to see that other people use multiple journals at the same time. My lineup is of 7 journals: a BUJO, a lists journal, 3 manga/anime journals 😅 (I swear they all have a different purpose 😂), a travel journal for long trips and my personal journal for daily life and thoughts. By the way, that arch & olive mustard journal is gorgeous, I’ll impatiently wait for its setup!!!
I’m super curious about the manga/anime journals! Do you analyze the stories or use them for inspo to create your own or what??? I once took an anime class in college so I technically have an anime notebook somewhere in my school notes haha
Thank you for sharing! I use multiple journals, too, and love it. I loved seeing a bit of your R&D journal, and wish you would do a flip through and link between your r&d practice and the final result, especially the Dutch doors etc. Have a great day!
The Dutch doors dashboard video is linked in the description ❤ I don't tend to use the R&D journal to test a layout before trying it in my own journal, more as a demonstrative tool if that makes sense!
@@ErinSmith thanks! I’ll check it out! I love what you do!
I use a lot of journals as well. I have a regular bullet journal that I use to make my monthly spreads, I have a reading journal, an every day journal that I simply write in. That journal is very personal and I never show that journal to anyone. I have a washi tape journal where I keep all samples of each of my washi tapes. I have over 350 rolls of washi tapes so this journal is very helpful to go “shopping” in my journal when I am creating. Lastly I have a junk journal that I keep samples of all my marker in this journal, I try out different layout in this journal before I commit to it in my every day bullet journal. Oh! I homeschool my youngest son so I also have a journal where aI take notes for school. So Erin you are not alone in having many journals. I too have many journals, all for different reasons. But, I love having all of my journals!!! Thank you for the video. I loved it❤❤❤
Ooh it's hard to decide which is the prettiest notebook. I do love the quirky cup collective one but same as you I wouldn't like it as a bullet journal. And I've used one bullet journal for several years as well, while I had one feelings diary most of the time and used it not a lot of that time 😅 now I have a reading journal as well and also one for my TH-cam (so an RnD journal too), that still waits to be used 😅
The Quirky Cup is my favourite cover ❤ but I think I'd have the same issues as you with the dots, lack of ribbon etc. Surprise! I have the same Kuma one 😂 I used 3 regular journals in 23. Last one still has pages but barely enough for January so starting new one. I have 3 on the go together: regular bujo, crochet journal and a favourite shops journal with discount codes.... obviously yours 😊
Ohh Sarah Beth the favourite shops journal is so smart!! Which brands and styles of journals have you been using, and for which of your three purposes?
Kuma is my crochet journal. The favourite journal shops was a gift and I can't find it on sale anywhere an my bujo is usually A&O or notebook therapy. ❤️ but I love trying new brands.... hence watching Erin Smith unboxing and haul videos 😊
This was sooooooooo funnnn😆!!!!!!! Idk just theres something about you making chatty videos that gets me relaxed and indulged and it really feels like we are in a conversation😄. And the way you named the journals just got me on the floor, GOSH🤣🤣 ! your hilarious and have a GREAT sense of humor😂😉. And I must add that I loved all of them like of them had their own nice vibe you know. The elegant melowdays journal had that elegance, and the that cute lady bug journal just gave that nice picnic and cutesy vibe it was adorable, and that Spectacular witch journal just cauht my eyes and heart at this point and we acn't forget about that adorable development journal it was soo pretty. Overall amazing journals and i know you will do them great justice!🤗.And i wasn't able to comment on your reading jurnal video as i was busy but GOSH ITS SOOOO DARN GOOD, like that mix of vintage and that cozy winter vibes just got me wanting a hot chocolate like literally, darling your journal setups are the best and got me feelin things inside🥰. I love your videos sooo much ad this posting two times has been making my days just something about having a break and watching your videos really gets me happy and relaxed😊🥰, like my worries wash away for a good minute🙃. It might seem like I'm exageratting but it's true non the less😅. LOVE YOU ERIN love you sooooooo darn much😘😍!!!! your cheerleader will forever cheer for you in the comments don't worry me and mascot Mitsu will be at your humble service🤣😁. Have a nice day Erin mwah!😘
Thank you so much sweet Muskan! I feel like each notebook has its own personality, you know? I'm excited to get to know them all next year!
excited to win the journal 🫰🏼
This video makes me feel better. I thought I went overboard having too many journals (bujo, commonplace notebook, watercolor journal, sketchbook/swatchbook, mixed media creative journal, and a travelers notebook).
I see you, fellow multi-journal-keeper! 🥰
I have three journals going on.
1. Bullet Journal
2. Reading+ Drama Journal
3. Writer's Journal
Thank you for sharing! The completion journal is beautifull❤❤
I am so inspired. I love your setup!! And the colors of all the journals are beautiful. I need to start a new journal, on top of my new year start. I want to add a long term collections journal, a la Jess, and I am definitely making plans for a new reading journal once I finish my old one.
Happy new journal season Leah! Sounds like you have a fun December ahead - I adore the new journal setup process! Have you picked your notebooks for each yet? I'd love to know what you're using if so!
@@ErinSmith Thank you! I've started my setup for my bullet journal, but I ran out of the tapes I was using, so now I'm waiting for a replacement order lol. I'm using two Archer and Olive A5's for my regular journal. Going to use up my Archer and Olive square for my book bujo, and then not sure what I will use to start a new one! I haven't picked a long term collections journal yet. I'm debating on size! Not sure if I want it to be a standard A5, or something bigger.
I have added another journal to my stack because I decided I needed a long terms collection journal, so I picked my Quirky Cup Collective one for that.
Nice Jen! How many are in the stack total?
@ErinSmith 7? I think lol - two of those are 5yr journals, plus an everyday, yearly collections, long term collections, reading journal and gaming journal.
The quirky cup collective is on my wishlist but your giveaway journal that you are doing is gorgeous!! That’s my favorite!
In 2024, I'm going to be using 2 journals for the first time, and I'm trying not to allow that to multiply any further until it's proven necessary, because I have a tendency to try doing too much & overwhelm myself. I'll have my normal, zero decoration bujo, and a semi-decorative long-term collection journal with any collections that last a full year or more. I've seen so many more cool ideas for even more though, so it's hard keeping myself restrained lol.
The made of stars journal is my fave! I might need to go check out their journals bc that cover is stunning.
Definitely give the Quirky Cup Collective journals a look Kristen! They make a pre-printed reading journal too, which I think is gorgeous for anyone who likes a bit more structure. They’re Aussie based though, so depending where you’re located might cost a bit to ship!
I just started bullet journaling in June this year and have two journals I use. 1. My regular bullet journal and 2. what I call my collections journal which is more of a catch-all journal for swatches, layouts, theme ideas, lists and guidelines.
The quirky cup journal is my favourite of yours though. Maybe one day I'll be able to get one but I was already gifted 2 journals for next year so it remains a someday for me.
Love that you're using the journals you have before you acquire more Brittany! The Quirky journals seem to be pretty popular, they'll wait for you ❤
I'm honestly worried if I acquire more than I can use in a year I'll just have a stack of them that never get used 😅
I have my bujo, my rejo, my long form-Jo, my 5 year-jo, a research and development-jo, and then I’m getting one for recipes! 😅😊
Does that make it... a Food-jo? 😉
@@ErinSmith 😂
the cover with embroidery is the most unique
I’m kind of enamoured with it Marie! If only it wasn’t mustard 😅
I have a lot of journals but only use my bullet journal 😂 I think it’s because I prefer to have everything in one place. I used to maintain a quote journal, a bad news journal, a feelings journal, an address journal, a travel journal, etc. But as I’m not always home, it wasn’t really practical to have with me.
Nice video as always, have a nice day ❤
I'm intrigued by the idea of your bad news journal - how did you use that one? Also, a single journal is TOTALLY valid, having everything in one book is so freeing!
@@ErinSmith My bad news journal was a place where I would put reflections on bad things that happened around me. It's a way for me to banish those ruminating thoughts somewhere. Like if it could "hold" them for me. I struggled with depression since I was a teenager, and It helped me a lot to feel my feelings but not give them too much place in my life.
I'm about to use two journals for the first time. and hopefully three wink wink ;D My filofax is arriving today!
i use an everyday bujo (two a year), yearly collections journal, goals journal, & a reading journal
Such a good lineup!
Love the giveaway journal! It so gorgeous and whoever wins the journal will love it! Also amazing that you are doing this.
I mostly use one but this year I'm making a reference journal and baby journals for my kids. I might make a long term collections journal if I think I need one
I have a similar number of journals (although I am using different sizes of journal like A6, traveller's notebook and A5), and it's nice to see that you and most people here in the comment section also does the same. Like, I'm not an insane/perfectionist type of person to have a specific journal for a sole purpose. 🤣 I currently have 4 (daily planner journal, Ideas & thoughts [kinda like a diary], creative scrapbook, planning [for bujo setup, art compositions, etc.] I may add one more for reading since I read random types of text like articles, fantasy novels, mangas/graphic novels, etc. Also, feel free to geek out about notebook/journals since I also collect multiple journals without reason😅~ Love your vids~ 💜
It's so reassuring isn't it - I think journal keeping is a hobby in itself, you'll find no judgement here!
Right now I have 6 journals too! It makes me so happy see people who also have a lot of notebooks and also use them!! I can hardly keep all of them but everytime I write or draw on them they make me so happy!! So right now I have my bujo, but since I started my job it seems to have a lot of space for the little time I get now ;-; So I had to redesign (I had one method that work for all my uni years) and I'm gonna try the new weekly spreads in 2024! Then, I have 3 sketchbooks: the normal sketchbook, where I draw everything I want to, the experiments one, that is smaller and I use it to try new materials or techniques and the webcomic one, that I'm using to keep all the designs and drawing of the story I have in mind. Finally I have the reading and writting journals. The reading is probably gonna last me like 3 years but since I'm starting to read webtoons and wattpad I can't keep track of them in goodreads! And the writting is to track my advances with all the stories in my head.
I loved all of your journals, they gave me so much inspo!!! Thank you for sharing :D
It's so interesting to see how your bujo needs change with your life - I hope the new weeklies work really well for you! Your journal system makes so much sense to me!
@@ErinSmith I love to go back and see my old jounals! Also, I feel like journaling is something so personal that you can know a lot of a person from it, it's so cute ^^
🥰💕 thank you for joining me on this journey!
Love your journals! I can’t wait to see a flip through of the giveaway journal 😊
Thanks so much! 😊 I can't wait to show you!
I use only one bullet journal and a digital planner. I actually prefer writing on paper but the journal is too thick and heavy to carry in daily life. So I have a digital planner for on the go and use journal for reflection, book review, personal stuffs. I love your idea of weekly art practice and the layout prep so next year I'm adding a sketch book to the list.
I'm obsessed with your 'made of stars' and 'moonlit potions' journals. I wish there're more stunning journal designs in my country with affordable price. (crying in brokay)
I’m just starting on my journal journey and have been binging your videos. I’m looking forward to the day I’m able to produce this quality planners. They are gorgeous!❤
Aww thank you so much! You’re going to have so much fun! 🥰
Thanks for sharing, Erin! I've changed from A5 bujos to A6 ring binder journaling.. due to health issues, and my ADHD running wild, it's just so much easier for me, but still allows me to set up my own designs. I also ordered a Stalogy A5 for long form journaling, since I've started using fountain pens, and wanted a journal that would handle that without issues. I also have a journal for logging diet/food, exercise, and health symptoms, which I don't really decorate. I felt a little crazy for having so many, especially since I still want to journal my spiritual journey/tarot readings.. glad to see you, and so many of your followers, keep multiple journals each year.
Team Multiple Journals is happy to have you Becka 😉 The health journal is such a great idea, a friend of mine does this too and it seems so amazing as a resource when consulting with doctors!
Wow you’re so talented! I’m always amazed when I see your journals. The giveaway journal is stunning!! ❤️
Thank you so much! ❤
The giveaway journal looks so good already!!! I love the Paris set up!
You'll get to see that one very soon 😉
I love the look of the Quirky Cup journal and the Kuma journal, so pretty! This year was my first year bullet journaling so I just bought a cheap Stationery Island journal (which was honestly really good, but only 120 gsm so I had some mishaps early on before I worked out how to use it best). But for 2024 I have picked a Yop & Tom for my reading journal, and a Scribble & Dot for my main one. I expect them both to last the year but we'll see! I might try a String & Space or Scribbles That Matter for 2025, keep mixing it up 😊
Oh that colour of your bullet journal is just stunning. I can’t wait to get started on my 2024 bullet journal.
Next year I am challenging myself with changing from a B5 journal to a square journal. I am continuing my travellers journal for my bible journaling, still undecided on the rest. Have journals, just need to choose one to use. It’s definitely a hard choice, but watching videos of other people’s journal lineups makes me want finalise mine.
Thanks for sharing your lineup 😊
The quirky cup collective journals are so dang pretty, might be too pretty for me to use. I tend up with paint splatters everywhere, and recently I am not a fan of gilded edges, it looks pretty for sure but as I get through the journal it ends up looking not so nice at all.
I have one reading journal and one for reading challenges such as book Roast's Orilium, etc.
I also have an empty one. I don't know what / if I'm using it for, we will see. I thought about a few Trackers but I much prefer Google sheets for that (I track my reading in a Spreadsheet too but slightly different things)
Nothing wrong with keeping an extra book in reserve 😉 I love that you’re tracking digitally too, I adore a good spreadsheet!
It was very relaxing to watch all your journals. They all are very pretty.
Thank you so much for watching!
I just love anything mystical and magic -
Me too! 🥰
I do scrapbooking stuff in a small notebook that I also use for thoughts and feelings. I use another one when they are done. I will have a planner, a notebook for planner since planner has very few pages. A reading journal and a personal notebook which I always have. Magnolia has my heart ❤️
I love your multi-notebook system!
I have so many notebooks with different purposes I created a journal log in my yearly setup in my bujo! It’s really nice remembering what notebook to use for each instance of wanting to write something down 😊 I have a tarot journal, quote journal, a journal for witchcraft research (I’m Pagan), a thoughts & feelings journal, a self-love journal, and of course my delightful bullet journal! Oh and I just remembered my professional development journal, where I take notes for work trainings and ideas. I don’t use it as much since I stopped being freelance, but I still enjoy looking at my notes in it and seeing what I’ve learned
A JOURNAL LOG. You absolute genius! You've reminded me I do technically have a journal I use at client meetings to jot down notes - I probably should have included it in this video but I forgot all about it!
I love the outside of the personal feelings journal the most
She's a truly gorgeous journal isn't she Leila! The other Quirky journals are so beautiful too!
Your giveaway journal is beautiful. So is the rest of your collection. I never thought of a sketchbook as a journal but I do like that concept. I think I'll try that. Use two, I use a bullet journal to keep me organized and a journal journal. I'm not sure if you can't sketchbooks as journals. I know some people do and I have two sketchbooks.
Your collection is so beautiful 😍😍
Thank you! I'm so excited to use them all next year!
I have 4 journals...2 bullet journals (Jan-Jun and Jul-Dec), 1 reading journal, 1 food/restaurant journal and 1 travel journal.
Nice! Food/restaurant journal sounds like a lot of fun! 🤩
I use a classic happy planner for the year. Last year, I started a Collage A5 bullet journal for my reading journal. I will probably switch the reading journal to a disc bound A5 because I had to cut the bullet journal spine open because it is so thick. But I really like how nice the bullet journal store on a shelf compared to the disc bound so I am undecided.
I love the lady bug journal. I have it and can’t wait to crack it open.
Journal twins! What will you be using yours for?
Junk journal/scrapbooking.
I'm planning to use 4 consistently next year: daily bujo, reading, travel, work. I just ordered a quirky cup collective journal that has 220 pages, and now I'm worried that with the thickness, it might not lay flat at all either 😨Also didn't notice that they don't come with a ribbon bookmark until I watched this video... oops
Ooh did you get the Literati journal? Its cover is STUNNING! I think that one does have the ribbon bookmark actually - I bought my Quirky journal before the Literatis were available.
I have a reading journal, a long term collection for reading stats, everyday journal (usually two a year), a long term collections journal, a budget journal and I have a scrapbook type one for all the bookish/author correspondence I get sent as a keepsake. Love seeing your 2024 lineup. And 100% agree with the QCC journal... gorgeous on the outside but not ideal for bullet journalling for me personally.
I love your scrapbook idea - I used to do something similar for my photo passes, when I used to photograph live music!
Love the Quirky collective journal but would probably go for the Kuma journal as it has better functionality. I've only started using 2 journals this year. My everyday and new this year a travellers notebook for a reading journal .
I am a B5 journal fan. I use that size for my work bujo. My reading and gratitude logs are A5 sized. Can’t wait to see you use your B5 as your reading journal. 😁
I can't wait too - I feel like I'm going to have a bit of an adjustment period though haha!
I am all hearts !!! omgggg🥰🤩🤩🤩🤩
My sister gave me a scribbles that matter journal for 2023 and I love it!I’m going to use journals from them in the future! (Also my name is Erin as well so hello fellow Erin!😂)
Ohh hey there fellow 에린 🥰💕 they are such good journals, I’m really impressed with this one!
I have... Writing journal
Scrapbooking/junk type journalling
Sketchbook
Spirituality journal where I explore other beliefs and write down my thoughts
A poetry journal
My herbalism notebook
They're all so pretty! I'm a huge fan of the Quirky journals just because the covers are stunning. I do have similar issues with them that you do though, still I'm enjoying mine. The A&O one I weirdly really love. Not at all my color/style but I'm into it. I considered a Kuma for my own 2024 lineup but ultimately went another direction. The color of the journal you have is way different I feel like from the photos on their website and that was a deciding factor for me ultimately so perhaps I'll try one next year!
Which of the Quirky journals do you have? I think the covers are gorgeous enough to outweigh some of their shortcomings too 😉
I have the Luna Moth (which I use for a reading journal) and the Sun & Moon which is my everyday bujo
Out of all your journals, your personal thoughts one is the prettiest but I’m not sure I could deal with the not 5mm dot grid.
I had seen your setup for the giveaway journal (gorgeous) and seeing the monthly themes only make me want it more… can’t wait to see these videos…
I also use multiple journals: everyday, reading, mental health, weight loss…
The Quirky Cup journal covers are showstoppers for sure!
I've been using only my bullet journal (very inspired by you). I would like to start a "memory journal" for my 2 years old daughter. Like pictures, adventures, moments...etc. Any sugestions or ideas?
A memory journal is a beautiful idea! The closest I've done is a travel journal but I know Icy of Eyesea Studio does some lovely memory keeping spreads with her family, she might have some ideas you can borrow.
Magnolia 😍
Isn’t she a stunner 😍
I stuck to one journal this year because I'm poor, lol. I can't justify using two in a year. I can fit a year in one anyway, and i don't like not using up as many of the pages as i can.
When will you let us know how to sign up for the giveaway journal?!
It’s in the description of the giveaway journal’s plan with me video 😘
❤❤❤
80 dollars for a journal?? Wow ok😂
It's part of a stationery gift box, so it's $80 for the whole box with the stamps and pens and the mini-journal and the washis etc - they don't sell the journal separately so a screenshot of the gift box was the best I could do 😂
