I got this one the day it released. The developer from Hangar Studios 713 is a really nice guy, and actually cares about the products being sold. Both the L-17s and the Twin Navion are just true delights to to fly, and supporting developers that put their heart into their work is always worth while!!
Just the other day my wife and I were watching an episode of Columbo from 1974, featuring Johnny Cash flying a Cessna. At one point Columbo rides shotgun in a plane that I could not recognize (other than the familiar tail!). A quick lookup of the tail number - N8642H - told me it was a 1947 North American Navion.
This is so cool, I work as a flight instructor and the Navion is still one of the best planes I've had the pleasure of instructing in. It's great the Navion is getting more recognition.
I have the Camair 480 Twin Navion and it's one of the best ga planes in my hanger. Love the power of those twin 240 hp engines in that small plane. So I saw this one by the same developer and added it to my list, it's a must buy.
Love B4Gunner's work. He's an awesome guy, not to mention a great plane designer. He's also very community minded, and supports many in the community. Love the improvised landing :)
you don't need to calibrate artificial horizon on the ground, especially this one depending of airflow from engine, because aircraft on the ground can be on other angle than you got in the horizon flight at cruise. in the game for sure:) and you reminded me, i need create petition to united nations for aeroplane heaven's guys set vs gauge independency of electrical power, and make ball in the mustang inclinometer moves in right direction on banking.

this model must contain all characters from twin peaks fire walk with me on fall city 1wa6 with right livery and panel, i mean for aircraft. and so, when we landing there, all that crazy company must wait us there and playing scene from that movie. same bell-47b we got, must contain al pacino from and justice for all on the copilot place... this simulator sux and totally uncomplete
I own all three Navions from Hangar Studios, and while each is distinct in there, own way, all 3 are awesome, and by the way, you can fly the Navion L17B with the canopy partially open. Also, you have done this plane a great justice by showing off its capabilities, with your excellent bush piloting skills. 🎉
The external texturing has the same problem as the Blackbox Sim L-19 Bird Dog and the DC Designs F-14: the rivets and panel seams are way too dark and thick, which gives the whole plane a drawn/cartoony look. Check out some pictures of the real thing to see the difference. More subtlety wih details like that would go a long way to make it look better and more real. The cockpit looks nice, though. I think I'd might give this a shot!
Hey @AvAngel - would you consider making a vid of your favourite 3rd party bush strips? I'm looking for new places to explore and would love a good "home base" - or even better a cluster of a few good strips in the same vicinity. You seem to have a lot of experience with bush flying so thought you must have some recommendations?

Yeah, this thing a turd. Overly sensitive doesn’t trim out, engine and prop controls jammed, brakes unrealistic and it taxis at 20kts and idle. All it is is pretty to look at.
Somehow I did manage to download the manual for the L-17B. It was not easy to do because of what I consider to be poorly designed website of HangarStudios 713. However, I have no complaints with the plane itself.

How is it different than the other single engine Navion the same developer made?
Different cockpit, engine, older version of the aircraft. Flight characteristics are the same as they’re externally the same

13:20 even you are doing 20kts at 1000rpm...on dirt. You know real airplanes don't do that
