Definitely getting my backing guys! Really really appreciate what your trying to do here, from the point of view of a passionate aspiring game dev/designer. I really see the importance of supporting the indie dev teams who don't have a publisher pointing a gun at their head, especially since this particular game is one that I would really enjoy. Us gamers are lucky to have guys like you push the boundaries of contemporary game mechanics, especially within a genre so dominated by mainstream games
Good luck man! Me and my friends are still playing the original GR after all this time and loving it, so you could say we're a fan of your work. Going to try to spread the word as much as possible :)
On top of that Ground Branch has been in development for a few years, while Takedown just came around the corner without anything tangible or any development done. Thing to keep in mind :)
Are you talking about at 4:00 ? That magazine was retained so there's some extra time spent putting it back in a pouch. If you're talking about Magpul, Travis Haley doesn't do nearly the gun-flip that Costa does so it's not entirely non-Magpul. But regardless, this reload was done with motion capture from a real SF guy so even if it's not tacticool, it's legit. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love a game with Magpul stance, grip, and technique.
Completely missed that this one was on Kickstarter, even though I've been following the game sporadically through the years. Such a shame, my friends and I have been waiting for someone to pick up the ball on tactical multiplayer shooters!
Everything looks good but have some question's will it have a mission editor so you can make your own custom maps and if so will the terrain be limited to close area or a big area to play in because I like to play as a sniper. Will we be able to host our own servers with out paying an arm and a leg for it and would we have total control over the server?
From dev @ forum: "I will just say this: whatever you're thinking -- whatever "better ways" of doing things could've been explored, were explored. The game development community is extremely close (especially in the same niche markets). Sometimes, you just have two parties, with two different ideas on how to operate a business (and even different design philosophies, even if they seem similar from the outside), and that simply can't be reconciled. It's unfortunate, but that's what it is."
Like The1James2 said the sounds need a lot of work, its really something I miss in todays games. Most of the times the sounds of gun fire are just not loud enough and it sounds like youre shooting with a airsoft gun.
The M4/AR-15's recoil is actually very mild but it is pretty stiff (or at least on my M4 type AR it is) but very mild nonetheless. Now my AK on the other hand. That thing is a bit more difficult to control when shooting real fast but the recoil feels a bit "smoother". IDK how else to explain but there it is.
Man I like where this is going! Looks like it's gonna be an awesome game, as long as it's not "too realistic". - Is there gonna be a single player campaign? - Encumbrance system is an awesome idea. - Any kind of medpacks or morphine to balance the health regeneration? - No class restrictions is awesome too! Are there unlockables though? or maybe some kind of qualification course needed to use a weapon would be cool, like it used to be in America's Army ( if anyone here used to play it!!)
Correct. Except it' snot really refunded because your Credit Card isn't actually charged until the end of the kickstarter. And ONLY if it reaches it's goal.
A2 is only "clonky" until you get used to it. I play many tactical shooters and I feel very comfortable playing A2 in any situation. Mods improve the game a lot like shacktack movement for CQB and ACE2 for realism.
Graphics look solid, sound is gorgeous! Just a question, will you be making a key so that we can control transitioning/toggle from ready fire position to lowready (i.e. we want to be ready fire during an extended firefight rather than having the weapon constantly go up-down-up-down in-between bursts)?
Maybe look to Magpul's method for tac reloading the m4 to speed up reloading for that particular style? It would get more fanboys like me interested. looking amazing though!
I backed this on Kickstarter when it was running, but I have to say that everything I liked about this game has been done, better, in ArmA III. Blackfoot, you have your work cut out for you...
this is the issue with releasing such footage nowadays, alot of people are just so clueless to what is said and written if anything however those 2 weapon sounds more realistic than in most games i have played lol
l know this isn't a finished version but is the recoil supposed to be like that? The gun always kinda goes up to the right after each shot, looks off. Just wanted to check what the deal is with that. Other than that, I've been waiting for this, l literally CANNOT play today's FPS, it's as if it's all made for children.
Quick Question for anybody really: How does KickStart work? Like if BlackFoot doesn't reach it's overall goal of $425,000 (Which I hope he still makes), does he still get the money that has been pledged and use it toward the project? It's probably a stupid question but I'm just curious.
They should get ahold of the people who design(ed) Americas Army, and see if they can work together, and bring a great game. But I doubt they would as they are / were probably looking to make a fortune, and the Army would be wanting the game to be Free. But heck, I would spend 20-40 bucks for a game that was like this, and bug free for the most part.
You guys should try to get you game presented by a very good reviewer called TotalHalibut here in youtube. sometimes he makes previews of games coming from indie companies, he has alot of subscribers! and he is a very good.
IMO, it's that BF3 is merely more realistic and certainly more visceral than COD, it's main competition within the arcade shooter realm. In the realistic shooters realm, ARMA I'd say is more realistic than Operation Flash point. This work in progress looks more concentrated than either ARMA or OFP, at the expense of not being quite as extensive in scope and features as ARMA.
This is nothing like ArmA3. CQB in ArmA is and always was very cumbersome. I hope GB will fill the gap between ArmA and the old R6 games. Don't get me wrong I love ArmA, but like I said try to do a SWAT like mission and it's just does not feel fluid at all.
NOOOOOOOO!!! Please finish this game. If only I had a credit card I would support this game. Please, someone let back them up. This is the hope of the tactical gaming world. What would happen to this type of game if we let CoD rule the gaming world.
Arma is born out of VBS2 the simulator used to train military personnel, i doubt something that big will come out of it. because of the financial differences of the two producers. anyway i don't want a arma clone.
this is concentrated infantry game unlike arma that try to simulate all and fails that's how i feel a but arma games big ambition but the actual product is frustrating
SOme freindly advice blackfootstudios As someone that's seen absolutely amazing games go by the wayside due to market changes. I want you to sit down, and really I mean REALLY think about what your main selling points of the game are. Remember your talking about this in the same week E3 is going on. Go beyond the gimmick of Mine is more realistic than "his" you'll lose that battle on resources alone. Big game companies can do that.
looks like modern warfare evolved or better say reborned ! Its gonna kick ass and i hope EA and Activision will bankrupt for giving us the same shit with new weapons or maps for another 60 euro every time
seeing how this is evolved and actually been implemented is amazing!
Yes, we agree! Please back the Kickstarter if you like what you see and are able. We need all the help we can get!

I live in Lewis Center, Ohio. Once I discovered that there was a local affiliation...'Click' purchased. Best Regards.
God bless you for reviving the tactical shooter. God bless.
Wow I kind of love that classic UI
Good luck man! Me and my friends are still playing the original GR after all this time and loving it, so you could say we're a fan of your work. Going to try to spread the word as much as possible :)
Thanks! Please back the Kickstarter if you are able. We need all the help we can get!
I love that the guns aren't taking up a third of the screen when not aiming. gj guys
On top of that Ground Branch has been in development for a few years, while Takedown just came around the corner without anything tangible or any development done. Thing to keep in mind :)
I support this 100%. This reminds me of a time when a tactical shooter, was really a Tactical Shooter.
Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and now Ground Branch. The reasons why I love tactical shooters than standard shooters. I want to play this so damn bad!
Thanks. We like it to. :-) Please back the Kickstarter if you are able. We need all the help we can get!

you don't know how long I've been waiting for a game like this... I thought video games were dead...

Just pledged $25. As a huge fan of tactical and strategic games like Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, and Arma, I want to see this game completed so badly.
I would like to say to you guys for an indie studio
You guys did a fantastic job !
i found this thanks to you and il support it and i cant wait for its release :)
Like The1James2 said the sounds need a lot of work, its really something I miss in todays games. Most of the times the sounds of gun fire are just not loud enough and it sounds like youre shooting with a airsoft gun.
8:28 magazine pouch velcro sound ftw. Details for immersion, immersion ftw.
this game will be awesome...
0:27 - Casio G-Shock DW-6600. Cool!
Arma 3 is still about larger scale action, these are still completely different type of games so you should support both.
Have you looked at Steam Greenlight BlackFoot Studios ?
The M4/AR-15's recoil is actually very mild but it is pretty stiff (or at least on my M4 type AR it is) but very mild nonetheless.

From what I understand its probably large sized maps.
I did miss a few points, so I watched the video again. Thanks for your constructive comment
Correct. Except it' snot really refunded because your Credit Card isn't actually charged until the end of the kickstarter. And ONLY if it reaches it's goal.

You didn't sound rude at all :) Glad I could help! cheers
Damn... I still think the project's got enough time but I really hope it reaches its goal.
I tried but I had problems to get it to work.
If you people gave me the first Rainbow Six then you have my full support on this project
i hope it's after we donate cuz i cant really hear the sound now cuz my pc speakers is broken now
Not bad, seems like something I would like.
Already better than COD
whats the max amount of players you can have in a game
and also, this demonstration seems to have been played with a controller, am l wrong?
You should try ARMA2 with the ACE mod. its one hell of a realistic experience.
I'm gonna thow as much money as the Kickstarter as I can!!!!
Well said man, you have a good point.
great stuff!!!
Maybe look to Magpul's method for tac reloading the m4 to speed up reloading for that particular style? It would get more fanboys like me interested. looking amazing though!
Look a lot like the good old Infiltration Mod for Unreal Tournament
Tell him thanks for his services; I'm well aware of the stark contrasts between reality and simulation.
Its sad the goal wasn't hit! Should join forces with Takedown kickstarter and combine ideas and make one great tactical shooter.
ok, ok, you conviced me with the explosions!!! =)
I'm sure they will! With the kickstarter they try to get the money for exactly things like this!
I backed this on Kickstarter when it was running, but I have to say that everything I liked about this game has been done, better, in ArmA III. Blackfoot, you have your work cut out for you...
That goes without saying...
This game looks fucking awesome, but i looked at kickstarter, it says Funding Unsuccessful, are you guys going to make it or?
this is the issue with releasing such footage nowadays, alot of people are just so clueless to what is said and written

Will this game still be worked on even if you didnt make the amount you wanted?
Its sad that you didnt made it.
They made it bro
shut up and take my FUCKING MONEY!!!
*begins throwing cash at the screen*
i like it!
Why can't you?

hey marine!!! i know we are at the gun park LOL
donated $50 before I watched this video.
Try ARMA CO with JSRS sound mod..
This is nothing like ArmA3. CQB in ArmA is and always was very cumbersome. I hope GB will fill the gap between ArmA and the old R6 games. Don't get me wrong I love ArmA, but like I said try to do a SWAT like mission and it's just does not feel fluid at all.
You sir, Have my money.

Bummer they didnt reach their kickstarter goal.I found it too late to donate.Fuck!!!!!!!!!
It's just a game, dude.
you should call this game TACTICAL FIELD OF BATTLE.:)
NOOOOOOOO!!! Please finish this game. If only I had a credit card I would support this game. Please, someone let back them up. This is the hope of the tactical gaming world. What would happen to this type of game if we let CoD rule the gaming world.

it's PREALPHA
Seems to me like a better version of arma 2. and thats just...
AWESOME!
ArmA is the greatest, now this? Oh GAWD

probably he dosent have the extra money
ARMA 2 + ACE 2 = ????
When's Ground Brach coming to PS3??? I hate these casual shooters. Please bring it to consoles not just PC only!
hands looks kinda unlife-like, and recoil too weak for this kinda weapon. but everything else looks much cooler than in majority of shooters today
If I had money, I'd be telling these guys to shut up and take it.
They should consult with Columbian SpecOps. Best in the world. This year thats is :P
I know just saying
i hope you will need betatesters with original Rainbow6 experience ;)
releace date
Forgot to tell you, select you language on the top right or use english link
