The first car I ever owned was a Datsun 510. I bought it in 1979 in Hawaii when I was in the Military and got rid of it in about 1983. What I remember most about that car is that it was really geared for the Mountains of Japan, and not for the wide up Interstates in the US. The engine (I think) was an Overhead Cam and it was rated at 1595CC's. It was a pretty simple motor. Not much to it.
Listening to that guy talk about his car is just as exciting as the guy that makes the Clear eyes commercials.
Love my 510 I went full bore SR20DET gutted down to a roll cage and still street legal. Never looking back.
