It's cuz dutch hardcore scene and family is alot more about the kick and normally has little to no melody (and if it has a melody it's the same melody with no variation mostly). And the american scene is mostly just slightly more melodic. The japanese scene is the one more about variety

Yeah, rhythm game or to a lesser extent require to have variations while dutch hardcore is simpler (like techno) because it's club/rave music, it's less confusing, easier to get into and it's easier to focus on the rhythm of the kick
