So glad you thought of using whom, but when it's the subject of a clause, the function in the clause overrules the object of preposition rules. Currently installing lower cabinets. Honestly the tip about shimmimg the strip to be level may be the best tip I've heard through all my research. I'm going to do that

On the back of the cabinets you should use cabinetry screws , not sheetrock screws, because the tapered head of the sheetrock screws can crack the back panel ...
Great tips. Id also add, for those about to install to check for low spots in the floor and make reference line from the highest part of your floor. You can always shim to bring cabinets up, but cant lower them.

very good video! BUT find the high spot in the floor first and make that your horizontal level line.
At 0:54, "The horizontal line is your main guide". What horizontal line? How to draw it is not discussed. Notice that at 0:59 there's no line.
Thanks for adding the tip about clamping the cabinets together to get a tight fit. The rest of the process is fairly intuitive, but I would not have thought of that.
Agree... but I wouldn't have intuitively known so much shimming and leveling was necessary... and I may have wasted flooring under the cabinets instead the way they put it on a little platform against the very edge of flooring. (... that's if "shimming" is even a word ... let me hide from the grammar police)
Very well made video showing step by step procedure to install base cabinets. At 0:40, some tips such as considering flooring options and removing doors and drawers while installing base cabinets are helpful. Appreciate your DIY videos on home improvement.
I'd caution against using 3inch screws for cabinets.
Unless you know where your electrical and plumbing is in the wall you are taking a chance.
1 1/4 front of stud to edge of hole for electrical and plumbing. 1/2 or 5/8 drywall plus cabinet back thickness. I'd use 2 1/2 max.

@1:45 I have that situation small corner lower kitchen cabinet section that’s really driving me crazy because trying to measure the thickness of a shim that’s basically behind the cabinet when it’s against the wall is something I haven’t perfected yet
If you have wavy walls, how do you measure/mark so the base cabinets will be in line with the top cabinets. If you start at the top left for the tops and then put in the bases from left as well, how do make sure that the right edges line up for the fridge or stove say three cabinets over...if the left hand wall is not plumb. Would you drop a plumb line (or something easier) to have a line to start from....?

what if the cabinet is narrow and no stud behind it. How do you hang?
Probabaly late to reply to this. But toggle bolts work great. You attach it to your cabinets to left and right and after shimming you can toggle bolt it to your sheet rock to pull it tight to the wall.

Is it possible to replace 1 base cabinet in a lineup without completely removing the countertop?
Anything is possible. From my perspective, it's better to try what you think would work than to not try anything at all. What type of countertop is it? If it's stone or laminate, it's likely glued to the base. You can use a blade or saws-all to break the bond between the base and the top (remove any visible screws first if there are any). Remove the old base (destroy it if it's helpful in getting it out). Then, if the other bases are shimmed, you may be able to slide the new base into the slot already, and then shim up the new base to the countertop. If the new won't slide into the slot (a millimeter too tall), you can sand down the bottom enough to slide it in, and then you can shim it back up to the right height. Ideally, the new base could slide in and then be shimmed up to be pressed against the countertop.

18" above finished counter height (54" above finished floor) are standard but it's up to individual, some like more counter room and set 22-24" above counter

How can I tell where the studs are in the wall
I like to use a magnet trick. You take a strong magnet and run it up and down the wall until you locate a vertical row of drywall screws. Those screw are very likely in to the center of the stud.

What homeowner doesn’t have a drill and a saw? You don’t need all the saws that they used.

I have concrete as my wall in my kitchen where my base cabinets will be...would it be better to knock out the concrete and put up drywall to install my base cabinets or should i use concrete scews to install my base cabinets?
+david 647 you can attach cabinets to the concrete wall with the correct hardware. If you have concrete floors as well be sure to take the appropriate steps to protect them; cabinets can absorb moisture from concrete. Thanks for watching our video.

Why is there music in the background? Not necessary. It just creates stress.
This doesn't address the european base cabinets which comprise the majority of cabinets you sell; those rest on plastic adjustable posts which can be adjusted for leveling and which make installing the toe kick a very different process. How about an update, Lowes?
