I am excited to bring this truck to market with its super original engine down to its original staples on the valve cover gaskets that you almost never see. The underside is just as stunning with its very well preserved red oxide primer still brightly displaced after a light cleaning. The topping on this truck is the knapheide bed that took me 6 months to source. A new modern bed just wouldn't fit the bill on this truck. I have the exact same truck, not as good looking though.
Nice one ton! I have a use for it, but I don't normally get them in this nice of shape. No, I have to buy a needy one and then spend thousands of hours and dollars to make them this nice. Even the DR's can't figure out what's wrong with me. I dunno.
I have a '72 and I have the same problem with the turn signal cancel. Mine has the non-canceling left turn option. Be nice if you could replace it without pulling the wheel. It would have been replaced by now if a guy didn't need to do that. But, ya know, you get used to it, then it takes even longer to get at fixing it.
Where did you get the blue arm rests? I can only find black, parchment and if I remember correctly, red. Where did you find the headliner as well, all I can find is gray. Heard horror stories on the ABS replacement since it is shipped rolled up. Checked the usual places, Dennis Carpenter, C&G, LMC, etc., etc., to no avail.
Nice job replacing the cowl seal. Observed so many "resto's" and they either leave it off or leave the pieces that are still attached by the tabs. GLWTA, it will do well!
Would you tell me where do you buy new parts for this trucks?
My Dad gave me a truck just like that when I was 19 . What motor is in it. I think mine had a 360 in it??

thats a really nice clean truck...wish I needed it...I've already got 2 of 'em. It's better to have an original engine. My experience is that once these FE engines are opened up and rebuilt, they never run as good as the original factory built ones.
I would say otherwise! I know of several that have been rebuilt including to of my own and they ran extremely well! Much better then stock and for a long time!
