After having a 1986 XR-250 and then a 1990 XR-250. When the 1996 XR-400 I immediately bought one because it did not weigh that much more than the 250’s. I kept the 400 until 2003 when I sold it because I wanted to go back to a 2 stroke ( I got a used 2002 KDX ). Loved the 400 except when I happen to drop it because then it was a bear to start it up again. If it had EFI the bike would have been perfect 👍🏻
I love those Honda XR's. The only 4 strokes that I like, besides streetbikes. Does the title for this bike, make it easy to convert this bike to being street legal? Or would that not be able to be done?

It is absolutely horrible to start sadly
Had a XR 400 when I was a teenager rode the wheels off the thing it was such a trust worthy machine.
Love my CA plated XR400.. really can’t kill the beast!!! Just oil changes and ride.
