- I've been working on this run for a while now, but speedrunning all these levels in a row on UN inevitably leads to a lot of deaths and resets. But finally I hit the 45 minute mark despite Super Gore Nest, ARC Complex and Mars Core being disasters. ARC was especially bad because my first BFG was stopped short, so I had to burn another one that should've been used for the airplane fight later on, which I then had to improvise. My movement on Mars Core wasn't the best and I also got bad snake RNG in the last fight. The run was saved by Taras Nabad because I've been grinding the sub 11 on that recently (video soon). Cultist Base and ARC Complex were played on Nightmare as they don't have Ultra-Nightmare options.
This time could've been much better obviously, but considering how much had to go right, I'm satisfied with the run despite how much went wrong. If you're wondering why I didn't include World Spear in this run, it's because that level is pretty broken when you try to speedrun it and most fights can be skipped. If you don't skip anything, then it just becomes a really long run, so it didn't really appeal to me.
Even though this isn't an official category, I still followed the restricted ruleset for this run. That means staying inbounds and not using powerful glitches. More info on the rules at www.speedrun.c...
