I particularly enjoyed Father's discussion of perfect and imperfect contrition in the Act Of Contrition. My wife and I are catechists preparing 7 year olds for First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist. The CCD materials have dumbed down prayers that lose the distinction in Father's distinction. We need Catholic CCD materials!

    "It's purposefully confusing"
    Right.
And Pope Francis must surely know by now that he is sowing seeds of confusion every time he speaks.
Is this the way that a loving, responsible father treats his children?

Father Murr is truly a treasure for the Catholic church and for the world really. I love how honest, smart, and humble when he speaks about the church. He's very traightforward about important topic like these. The Pope is doing things wrong and this is a delicate matter that needs to be addressed on a wider scale.

When you are broken, all the King's horses and all the King's men cannot put you back together again. God takes all the broken pieces and starts to put them back one by one, and you never look back...all you have to say is 'ok'.
If only the Pope had said what Father Murr said in his closing remark on this video. Instead, Francis just manipulated the masses...again.
As Mother Angelica used to say, 'don't miss the opportunity'. Francis just did.
    Excellent discussion, gentlemen.
(Wish I could go on that trip to Spain. I'd love to spend that time listening to and discussing everything with Father Murr. I enjoy him so much.)

St Faustina said, regarding Hell, that the majority of people who are there, were those who did not believe in the existence of Hell. (Diary 741)
There is an excellent and visually stunning video on 'St. Faustina's Visions of the Afterlife' on a TH-cam channel, posted 7 years ago.
It describes her visit to Heaven and to Hell, and her vision of The Two Roads.

Pope Francis made his remarks, explains how he has approached his papacy. If one doesn’t believe that one could go to hell why then repent and beat our chest we are going to heaven because God is merciful. It is a presumption. The word of God is about repentance, penance and returning to the Father and trusting in him. Our earthy fathers correct us because if he doesn’t we go from bad to worse. Every father that loves his child chastises him.

CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH: The Church prays that no one shall be lost: “Lord, let me never be parted from you.” If it is true that no one can save himself, it is also true that God “desires all men to be saved” (1Tim 2:4), and that for him “all things are possible” (Mt 19:26).

What about: "Fear Him who can cast both body and soul into Hell! (Matt. 10:28) The Church has always taught that God casts the wicked into the eternal fires of Hell. Also, God created Hell. And what about John 15:6?

Fr., when you speak of,,, hell you speak as though , it will only be in eternity,,,that we enter a separation from God. My daily experience is that it begins right now,, On earth. It is a reality for me that I experienced daily,, through the working grace of sanctifying grace.... Daily I experience the difference in my own thinking and in my whole being ,my soul experiences ,the separation from God, when I'm in rebellion and living in anger, resentment, etc. Daily the reality of separation from God, or union with God is as real to me as the sun rising and setting. I want to remain close to God, and in his kingdom of peace, love and joy,. By grace as we are being transformed daily by God , into his image his way of thinking..Jesus draws us into the mind of Christ and the reality of being in Chris...If , if we believe sin separates us from God and I do, then we yearn for the presence of God, not only in eternity, but on earth, to be completed when we meet our Lord face-to-face. The question of eternity is settled by the word of God. And confirmed in my life by my daily experience of entering into that eternity now. We Catholics need to talk more about the experience of Jesus's kingdom on earth, and not just eternity as a scare tactic....86 Years old, cradle Catholic by Grace deeply converted, wife, mom grandmom, great grandmom. Thank God for a long life on earth, and into eternities everlasting life.

I’m at a loss to even imagine some of this discussion. I was born & raised Catholic and even the lame stuff I learned post Vat2 never made me question the reality of hell. Any Catholic ‘hoping’ there is no hell or it’s an empty place never entered my mind.
I mean it was there like my skin or hair. It always there like the sky or night or day and my Catholic education was sorely lacking due to Vat2. 12 yrs of hit or miss, but hell was and is real. Almost like it’s engrained in my soul.
Maybe I’m blessed by God to have this, but come on! The pope starting this dialogue is simply a level of ignorance only matched by the other diabolical weirdness going on in this world today.
Souls in purgatory sit waiting for our help and we are led to believe it doesn’t exist when we bury loved ones in white and talk about how great they were and are now in heaven.
God help us all because of buying the lies of modernists.
Please everyone, seek an old little booklet called “Daily Pilgrimage to Purgatory”. We need it as much or more than the poor souls because we’ll languish there without the help of others if we pretend hell and purgatory are imaginary.
Thank you Fr & Robert. God bless.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary advance every Poor Soul toward the Gates of Heaven so that each may rest with You this very moment.

"But in this case, the fact is, we do know what Pope St. John Paul II believed both personally and magisterially. In his great book, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, written five years earlier, in 1994, which is not a magisterial document, he spoke to this very matter, on page 185: Can God, who has loved man so much, permit the man who rejects Him to be condemned to eternal torment? And yet, the words of Christ are unequivocal. In Matthew’s Gospel he speaks clearly of those who will go to eternal punishment (cf. Matt. 25:46). Who will these be? The Church has never made any pronouncement…” Thus, Pope St. John Paul was not “open to the possibility” of an empty hell, even in his personal, non-magisterial teaching.

The pope is allowed to his own hopes, but I am really sad to live through times when there is no right and wrong, and when justice has been forgotten in favour of mercy.
What is the meaning of life if there is no justice? Are all our behaviours alright? What was the meaning of Christ sacrifice if we are not free to repent and choose the Truth, the Way and the Life? The cross would be useless, nonsensical if we accept that there is no Justice.

Consider that at the “health conference” that Pope Francis held the first weekend in May, 2020 where his main guests were: the infamous Dr. Fauci, two CEOs from Big Pharma, , proabortionist Chelsea Clinton, and New Age guru Depok Chopra, the theme song was “Imagine” by John Lennon on f the Beatles. Look up the lyrics and ponder the meaning as it begins with “imagine there’s no Heaven & seeks peace and the brotherhood of man. Pope Francis mentioned several times that he’s read the custodian science fiction novel, Lord of the World in which Julian Fetterbugh, the Lord of the World, the AntiChrist, wishes to extinguishes religion (imagine that!). What did Francis draw from this novel? What side is he on? Catholics are disbanded or persecuted in the novel. I was touched by the threat and loss to Catholicism.

Bergoglio does know this is unhelpful!
It is imperative that we understand the truth in this time of turmoil and pray that the truth be recognized by others.
Please pray this prayer daily especially before or after Mass.
A Prayer for the Cleansing of the Church
Almighty God, the Sovereign and Creator of all things both visable and invisible. Your Son gave the keys of the Kingdom to Your servant Saint Peter, and his validly elected successors. We pray that Your Church here on Earth will be quickly cleansed of Modernism, Indifferentism , and the Freemasonic infiltration within it, the false notion of Synodality, all immoral clerics, and all other forms of corruption. And that the Antipope Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s invalid election will be publicly recognized and completely nullified; that Bergoglio will repent, return to the one, holy, catholic and apostolic faith, and that in the fullness of Your time die in a state of grace and achieve the beatific vision. That Pope Benedict XVI will rest in peace. And that a just, faithful, and godly man will soon be elected to the See of Peter. All these things we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You, and the Holy Ghost, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

POPE JOHN PAUL II: Eternal damnation remains a possibility, but we are not granted, without special divine revelation, the knowledge of whether or which human beings are effectively involved in it.
The thought of hell and even less the improper use of biblical images must not create anxiety or despair... The concept of hellfire, the fiery furnace and the unquenchable fire of Gehenna need to be interpreted as symbolic language... The risen Jesus has conquered Satan, giving us the Spirit of God who makes us cry, “Abba, Father!” (Rm 8:15; Gal 5:6).

Pope Francis is a prime candidate for Hell. He said or hopes Hell is empty contrary to the teaching of the Bible. The Traditions and the Magisterium. Matthew 25:41. Hell was created by God for the Devil and his angels. That means that Hell is Not legally EMPTY.The thieves on the Cross. One of them went to Paradise with Christ. The other one presumably went to HELL.
