    Wow! What an interesting place! I agree with you that those doors are fascinating and would make some great close-up images, especially the snake door handle (I think it's a handle). I'm pretty sure a person would need to see this in person to really appreciate the grandeur.

      Oh yes 100-percent this is a place to see in person. The funny thing is, when you walk into the room, you are rather dumbstruck with awe. I learned while we were there that some people go there to pray because they think she might bring some kind of bad juju. That's how powerful it feels to be in the room. I can only imagine how the ancients must have felt in the real Parthenon.

    Thanks Keith. Clear video and good narration (without it being too much!). I've seen the real thing, which is amazing, but I've always wanted to see how it would have looked. I have to go to Nashville!

    Hi Keith , I have seen the Elgin Marbles in the British museum and they are stunning but part of me thinks they would look even better back where their ment to be. Great vlog my friend.

    • @Keithdotson
      @Keithdotson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree with you and I think that's probably going to happen in the not-too-distant future. I've seen both Parthenons -- the one in Athens and the one in Nashville -- but I haven't seen the marbles in London (yet).

      About the marbles; i imagine that the british will not agree with you, they like to grab the wealth, islands, etc., of other peoples.

      @@Keithdotsoni don't think it will happen, you see the marbles were legally purchased from the Ottomans before the modern country of Greece was founded. It is a battle that has been going on for years... Would it be cool to see the marbles in the original location? Yes of course! But...

    Great video and commentary. Well done Nashville and thank you to all the people who donated to the creation of the statue. As heretical as this might sound I do actually think the Parthenon in Greece would be better if they completely reconstructed it using every modern technique to replicate the original 100%.

    Why does nobody see this is an ABONINATION to our God !!! Your God !!! This should be torn down . Does nobody read the bible about all the Golden images an how judgment came to the people worshiping those images . That's all this is beware everybody an repent or judgement will come upon you !!! This is paganism .

      See the video called from Nineveh to Nashville and the warnings that have been given by Ellen G white in the 1800s and then also her writings that were unpublished that were released in 2015 at the 100-year anniversary of her death which has come out to the public how about a great ball of fire hitting the Parthenon. This is quite serious and we must get the message out and share with others. Try to Google as many TH-cams TH-cam's as you can as more and more talk is going on about it. Also Google Jeff pippenger who had put an announcement in The Tennessean warning people warning people a couple of years ago.

      Yeah, on the one hand I appreciate the workmanship and the history that can be taught through Nashville's Parthenon, on the other, if the Apostle Paul visited this place he would definitely be writing a letter to Nashville.
