The pugilist world is ruled by the powerful Wen clan, which dominates over the smaller Lan, Jiang, Nie and Jin households. At 2:18 Wei Ying actually calls Lan Zhan as "Second Child Lan", his formal title, which Wei Ying normally never calls and thus, adds more tension and divide between them. Lan Zhan's frustration is probably further aggravated by this.
Also, were there any differences here in this special edition scene compared to the original version? I don't see any differences myself that's why I'm asking.
The special edition focuses on Wangxian more,and the story is pretty compressed. The episodes are 1hr long instead of 42 minutes and some scenes have been cut. Scenes necessary for the plot have been kept tho.

The reason is that lan Zhan wanted to remind wei Ying of his swordsmanship...lan Zhan knows that he abandoned it and turned to crafty works..thats y at the end lan Zhan asked him about suibian..
Well he was checking his sword skills, also fighting him because of the way WWX is acting totally opposite of how he is always goofing around moving and teasing LWJ. Now that he is back after months and from the dead as they thought, being all demonic instead of a clear explanation to his best friend, confidant.
