Fun fact Kyoto Tachibana members themselves are the one's responsible in creating the Choreographies that they will use both in Stage Performances and Parade.The Coach and Professor only teach them the Music and the Formations 😍😊

The snare drummer is wonderful. I would NOT want to be her though. She is playing this entire performance by herself. As a former marching band drummer I can tell you that is hard work. She will need to rest her arms when she is done.

Always have a complicated feeling for the young students. 1.5 hours of marching with almost non-stop performing and dancing, still smile on their faces and greeting waiving to the audiences all the way. Stamina is not enough to describe my compliment. I saw sweats on their foreheads. If my children were in the parade, I would feel proud for them for their self discipline, determination (especially they were only about 16 years old), but also cherish their hard works, worry if they can hydrate enough in the parade as well as during their trainings. I love them so much like my own children.
Amazing to me that the brass instruments can continue to play while marching and jumping like that. That's a lot of dedication for teenagers to get to a skill level like that.
every time I watch this band it utterly amazes me, totally gobsmacked at the absolute precision they play. Every instrument in sync, in tune and played brilliantly a feat that is very difficult to attain in a stage orchestra, yet done while marching, dancing. Truly THE benchmark for what can be done.
I'm brazilian, from South East, Rio de Janeiro and, to tell the truth to all of you folks, I love these little girls! They're amazed! Sometimes, they play brazilian songs, and I love it!
I think I can safely say I speak for thousands of followers when I beg TH-cam to never stop broadcasting these videos, particularly the marching parades because that is the only way we can watch the parades completely. Even if we could be there in person, we would only see a portion as the bands pass the spot where we are standing. There is no arguing about the amount of practising these brilliant young people dedicate to getting it all so perfect.
At 36:30, see how the DM left her usual place and went asking for a bottle of water and when she finally got one, she went back into the frontline of trombone players at 36:53 and stopped that second year to let her have some water. Moment like this is one of the reasons I like watching a KT video from different angles. What you might not see from one angle, you might be able to see in a different angle.
Yes v"W"v that is Miss "pudding-chan"--LOL, Miss Pimo---I talked to a band member who gave her that name, AND IT WAS SO APPROPRIATE:)) As a Nurse, I have fussed several times about sharing ONE bottle with multiple lil devils---good way to spread disease!!!! I have seen since water being poured from bottles to paper cups:))
Bless the support people that keep them hydrated. KT never disappoints! The narrow streets and closeness of people can make things difficult but they carry on like it is no big deal!
1 hours playing and dancing? OMG, they have a lot of stamina!!! That's why Kyoto Tachibana march band are famous right now. And i the one of they fans, love from Indonesia 🍊🧡
When they participated in the Rose Parade in the U.S.A. in 2012 and 2018, it was 2.5 hours of playing and dancing covering 5.5 miles. They are scheduled to be there again in 2025.
It's almost five years ago that these guys were part of the band. It would be great to know what they are doing now. However! Their privacy MUST be respected.
There are a few continuing ventures with some band members...there's the "Tachibana Family Band" and "Groo Me"...I know that CHIPPI is in the latter....

It would be great to see many former players of this marching band, to come back to form a MASS band on a playing field or larger area. The band was formed in 1961, so there could potentially be a few thousand former players.

She is also remembered for her shoe-less performances :). She is very humble also from what I can recall from an interview, she said her drum skills is not as good as her mentor(senior) as lead drummer.
@@larrywinn5751 Obviously she is, as can be seen. That's why it was a surprise that she said that. She said that she did not think her performance really stood out. I also remember an interesting story about her in the 2017 regular concert(the last year as senior). She got so emotional that she could not perform in the opening number. Luckily, their lead ex-drummer was present to take over. I can still remember that video which the drummer was the only one not in the orange uniform. But she recovered and perform the rest of the concert with her in the drums.
This brings smile to my face everytime I watch these girls...They are a joy and a delight just to see them perform and they still can smile inspite of a long dancing and playing the instruments on the streets...

Hello, there are two Bands comprised of Kyoto Tachibana Alumni on TH-cam. The oldest is " Kyoto Tachibana Family Band ". The second one began April 3, 2021 and is called " O-VILS " = " Orange deVILS ". The General Director of O-VILS has her own TH-cam Channel which is: 三田結菜 or in English: Yuina Mita. Ms. Mita attended K.T. S.H.S. B.B.C. from 2008-2010 the 107th Term. She was invited to march/ dance/ play in both the 2012 & 2018 Tournament of Roses Parades. Having watched this amazing performance I have come to the conclusion that there are marching bands and then there is the Kyoto Tachibana band. They have taken this concept to a completely new level. Wonderful.
She played the entire parade and missed no beats. She has been referred to as " The Swiss Watch " by Tachibanas. She is the kit drummer at stationary events. here's a favorite video of her. @@CaseyRoche Yes, I was bluntly told that she was the diamond of all members of this band whether I liked it or not--LOL. No disagreement on the enjoyment of her presence in the band, however, they are ALL diamonds in my humble opinion v"W"v. AND we all are struck, at times, by others who catch our fancy. Case in point are the TINY girls playing instruments about as big as they are---in this video, I see the tiny lil one playing a trombone, and the lil one between two gold tuba-looking heavy things---she has the silver one:)) Do not look at Miss Chippi-chan's smile too long, or you will go blind---VERY BRIGHT:))

The dedication, the performance, the steps, I swear this is one amazing and talented band. Especially the glockenspiel and xylophone, I remember marching glockenspiel just for the memorial parade in my high school and omg, it is SO hard to master that, even with correct steps. Great talent to you all!
I agree with all the positive statements here. This is the best high school band in the world. It is better than most college bands here in the U.S. I wonder what they are doing now during isolation and quarantine. I read that Japan has it worse than here in the U.S. If Japan is able to have the summer olympics this year I hope this band is part of the opening ceremony. If they are I will watch. If not, I have many other things to do.
I love the way they dance while playing their instruments. Just look and appreciate the two girls playing their xylophones, and the last girl with the short hair on the right column playing her flute, she is undeniably a very good dancer and I have seen her in other videos from 2014 and she has matured to a well seasoned performer. Thanks to all of you girls and boys, you have lifted so many spirits with your performances. I will be in Japan just to see you guys once we can travel!

@@crissamia1 Yes, I did mean that. In my Y.T. Playlist, I had collected 7 videos of Nana. I was going to send the links. Now only two remain. The five of the Trio of Singers and their band have been set to private. To me that does not bode well for the success for that band. Ican recall one of the videos introduced the trio, but I cannot remember the Band's name. At the time I was thinking the two other girls in the Trio were from the 113th Term of K.T. S.H.S. Band too. One of my hopes is that finds a musical success. The other is that she'll join O-VILS as soon as O-VILS grows some more. I envision O-VILS to be at least a one-hundred-piece band someday.

114期も115期も幼さ全開の頃ですね。1年後この子たちが主力となって世界を席巻するんですから、正直想像もしていなかった自分が情けないです。映像にある通り、パレードが終わり後方部隊は全力疾走してるんですから、凄いの一言です。素養は十分だったんですね。何度見ても新しい発見をさせてくれる「橘」に感謝です。そして、素晴らしい映像を提供してくれる慶次郎さんにも感謝感謝です。

本当に橘高校のマーチングは、バナー担当・カラーガード隊・ドラムメジャー・各楽器ごとに振り付けが少しずつ違うので、どの場面でも飽きませんね。それにしても笑顔が素敵でかつ可愛らしい。😆

この子たちのパレードを見ると心が震える。メディア、音楽、芸能関係者も原点に返って人間の本質を理解した方が良い。
橘高校のマーチングがすごいのもあるが、慶次郎さんの動画は観やすくてすごい、他のカメラマンや観客への配慮も忘れないプロの仕事ですね。
私はこの動画が一番好きです。毎日観ていると新しい発見があります。応援する友達、家族、カブを押ししながら隊列に入ってしまうおじさん、
最後に感謝のありがとうを叫ぶカメラマン、交差点をなかなか渡ってくれないので呆れる婦警さんなどいろいろ楽しめます。
このマーチングをサポートとして参加している学校関係者さんと楽器店スタッフと祭り関係者さん(合わせると20名以上いるのかな)
地元のイベントということで特別に力が入っていたのでしょうか、大勢いることに驚きました。ご苦労様でした。もちろん主役の生徒さんには脱帽と感謝です。

I also remember an interesting story about her in the 2017 regular concert(the last year as senior). She got so emotional that she could not perform in the opening number. Luckily, their lead ex-drummer was present to take over. I can still remember that video which the drummer was the only one not in the orange uniform. But she recovered and perform the rest of the concert with her in the drums.

This brings smile to my face everytime I watch these girls...They are a joy and a delight just to see them perform and they still can smile inspite of a long dancing and playing the instruments on the streets...

Hello, there are two Bands comprised of Kyoto Tachibana Alumni on TH-cam. The oldest is " Kyoto Tachibana Family Band ". The second one began April 3, 2021 and is called " O-VILS " = " Orange deVILS ". The General Director of O-VILS has her own TH-cam Channel which is:

Having watched this amazing performance I have come to the conclusion that there are marching bands and then there is the Kyoto Tachibana band. They have taken this concept to a completely new level. Wonderful.

There is only 1 snare drummer but she nailed it by herself.
She played the entire parade and missed no beats. She has been referred to as " The Swiss Watch " by Tachibanas. She is the kit drummer at stationary events. here's a favorite video of her. @@CaseyRoche Yes, I was bluntly told that she was the diamond of all members of this band whether I liked it or not--LOL. No disagreement on the enjoyment of her presence in the band, however, they are ALL diamonds in my humble opinion v"W"v. AND we all are struck, at times, by others who catch our fancy. Case in point are the TINY girls playing instruments about as big as they are---in this video, I see the tiny lil one playing a trombone, and the lil one between two gold tuba-looking heavy things---she has the silver one:)) Do not look at Miss Chippi-chan's smile too long, or you will go blind---VERY BRIGHT:))

The dedication, the performance, the steps, I swear this is one amazing and talented band. Especially the glockenspiel and xylophone, I remember marching glockenspiel just for the memorial parade in my high school and omg, it is SO hard to master that, even with correct steps. Great talent to you all!
I agree with all the positive statements here. This is the best high school band in the world. It is better than most college bands here in the U.S. I wonder what they are doing now during isolation and quarantine. I read that Japan has it worse than here in the U.S. If Japan is able to have the summer olympics this year I hope this band is part of the opening ceremony. If they are I will watch. If not, I have many other things to do.
I love the way they dance while playing their instruments. Just look and appreciate the two girls playing their xylophones, and the last girl with the short hair on the right column playing her flute, she is undeniably a very good dancer and I have seen her in other videos from 2014 and she has matured to a well seasoned performer. Thanks to all of you girls and boys, you have lifted so many spirits with your performances. I will be in Japan just to see you guys once we can travel!
She joined with two other ladies to create a singing Trio. The band's name slips my mind.

@@crissamia1 Yes, I did mean that. In my Y.T. Playlist, I had collected 7 videos of Nana. I was going to send the links. Now only two remain. The five of the Trio of Singers and their band have been set to private. To me that does not bode well for the success for that band. Ican recall one of the videos introduced the trio, but I cannot remember the Band's name. At the time I was thinking the two other girls in the Trio were from the 113th Term of K.T. S.H.S. Band too. One of my hopes is that finds a musical success. The other is that she'll join O-VILS as soon as O-VILS grows some more. I envision O-VILS to be at least a one-hundred-piece band someday.
