Shammy is the American pronunciation. Chamois is a French word so a little tricky. The British have their own variation. Its also a type of antelope in the mountains of Europe. So here it's pronounced like the cloth used for detailing

hey! I've just recently found y'all and have been binge watching videos. Congratulations on marriage and honeymoon! I like your content, but I do have a hard time seeing the labels when you do the videos that show the clothing hauls. Even on a 65 inch TV and pausing when I want to get a closer look, it's hard to see labels from that far away from the camera. Just thought I'd mention it in case you're hearing that from others as well.
Thanks for the input! Haven’t heard it from others but I was thinking that after recording the last one we did. We will try to make it better the next time we make a video like that!

I see a lot of Nat Nast stuff but didn't know to pick it up? Looking at the numbers on ebay, Nat Nast shirts as a whole doesn't sell well. I guess it's the "100% silk" to look for.
I should have been more specific. It’s only Nat Nast short sleeve silk shirts that are more of the bowling or embroidered style. Sell through rate is hard to lookup on them but I vouch that they sell well in our store!
Hi! Really enjoy your videos and can't wait for more content. I'm a brand new reseller (2 months in), trying to do this part time with 4 kids to bring in supplemental income for the family.
I was looking for advice about your pricing policies - how long you wait before lowering the price of an item. Being new, I lack confidence when an item with a 100% sell through rate isn't selling within a few weeks or is getting low ball offers. I'm sure after months and years of doing this, you get comfortable with what works for your store, but I'm still in the process of figuring that out. I'm a math major and obsess over stats and profit margins - just wanting to be as efficient and fair as possible.
Appreciate all the help I can get and love the 'what sold' and 'haul' videos.

I’ll let you know what we do and works for us in brief! Plenty of videos to come and I’m a finance major so also a numbers nerd lol.
We decrease prices 5% every month at the 30 day mark an item has been listed. And we keep doing the 5% decrease until it sells. It seems to move items well for us as well as it gets rid of old dead inventory or inventory that wasn’t priced correctly.

I would be interested in the lower dollar stuff you pick up because it helps give a more realistic idea of what type of bread and butter stuff we might find when we go shopping.
I’ll probably start doing that then in the future! Maybe a video of the higher stuff like this once a week as well as the lower stuff once a week just recapping the entire weeks sales! Just to see if people enjoy that! I’m sure they will though.

Great video quick and to the point as a visual person these are my fav style. Associating brand and the logo. I could hear 100s of good brand names but mix them up sourcing but visual sticks with me for some reason.

How do you list the new logo branded merch, for example the Patagonia sweater, as NWT or NWTD?
I honestly don’t know the correct way to do it without getting in trouble. We’ve never had any issues selecting nwd which is typically what we do but I don’t know if that’s the correct way to do it to not get a vero

Yeah just depends on the brand and also how much the logo stands out! If it’s a massive logo or a color that doesn’t go with the shirt then we pass!
@kandmresell are there any companies that have enough nationwide employees to justify the pick up? I saw an at&t (didn't seem to be a uniform or anything) that I am hoping an employee will buy.
Not that I know of but may be a market to tap into if you find enough data to back it up!

When will you start listing shorts?
We list them year round simply because we don’t want to hold them. But, if you are holding them and just curious when to start listing them, imo mid to late February is the best time to start launching them!
I have ski pants that weigh just over 2 lbs, I can't get them to fit into the priotity flat rate envelope. How would you ship em? Do you try and use polymailers with items under a pound? When you stuff something thick like a jacket into a poly mailer it changes the deminsions a bit, does that change anyting when entering the deminsions on usps shipping?
Anything that does not fit in a flat rate envelope over a pound, we just mail USPS ground in a polymailer. Dimensions don’t change anything unless they get really big which should not be the case with polymailers.

I don't think I have ever found a LuluLemon piece of clothing at a thrift store.
Honestly we never could find it either until we got really familiar with it! Not saying you aren’t familiar just saying that was our problem. Really didn’t know all their styles and stuff but now we know it’s lulu just by looking at the item before seeing any logos or anything. Really does not stand out imo!
Do you have any luck with Columbia PFG during the summer? I Heard they are supposed to be a decent pickup but I have a few currently and only get about $13-$14 for them.
Yeah we usually buy them at $4 or less preferably cheaper but they seem to do decent. The ones that are labeled a certain style like bonehead go for more imo. We honestly just started picking them up this season so not too sure how they do year round but we still are buying them now at that price point. List at 18.88 typically but they get decreased in price each month and sell around 15-18.88
Howler Bros Gaucho Snap shirts sell super fast for over $100. If embroidery is more sophisticated, they can go for over $200. Their polos and others pieces are ok. Btw if I’m not mistaken Howler bros is based in Texas.

If you find shorts in the winter do you post them or wait until fall time or summer?
We just post them honestly. If you have the space and cash to hold them then I recommend holding cause you’ll get more per item if it’s within the seasons obviously! They still sell in the winter for us but no where near the summer sales. Probably 1/4th of the sales in the winter compared to summer.

How do I check eBay sell through rate?
You divide the quantity sold by the quantity active! Video to come in the future about calculating it and what to look for! There’s also hundreds of videos already on TH-cam from others going over it if your needed to learn it asap!
