Yugi The Destiny - Speedy Mode (Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos)

Today is just a short video showing off a relatively easy way to get the old offline single player game "Yugi the Destiny" to work at a faster speed, mimicking the "-speedy" option that later games of the Power of Chaos series had. The default speed is good for someone just learning how to play, but is rather slow for those familiar with the game. Note that this won't speed up the game if your hardware isn't physically capable of running it faster, but any desktop or laptop built since 2005, that can run this game natively, should have no problem with doing this. Be aware the use of Cheat Engine on other more modern games with anti-cheat protections like many of those you'd find on Steam, may trigger their anti cheat protections and could result in a ban. In addition, it's unlikely cheat engine's speed-hack will even work with most anyway without further tinkering due to how much more complex games are nowadays.
As for how this "speed-hack" works specifically, in a nutshell, it's basically injecting a driver into the program with a modification to whatever speed you set. The older method used before this involved running the application in a very high priority thread and using timed sleeping to speed up the game. When a function is called, it will be given an emulated timer which is then sped up. This concept is somewhat similar to how many emulators have built-in ways that they can speed up and slow down games or applications.

Thanks for posting this. Grinding for the must-have Yugi the Destiny cards (Mirror Force, Raigeki, Exodia, etc.) was such a hassle on the slow speed since duels against Yuri are not nearly as entertaining as Kaiba & Joey due to the limited card pool.
