It needs to be.the most generic factory silver paint ever. With it lowered on big wheels, it almost passes as a well cared for older van. But it definitely needs a roof box!

Its going to be neat to see you guys button up all the air gaps around where the chassis meets the body. Like making filler panels ect. I think some sound treatment, expanding foam, panel bond and bed liner are going to help big time. The build is awesome! Getting all those details finished are going to make it incredible!
For me as an 38 year old petrolhead / lover of anything mechanical, the electric expanse of the channel sure took some getting used to. But I can’t deny i love the content and the refreshing ideas. Its electric but with the much loved BoostedBoiz sause, i love it.

Im hoping it doesn't just stay hacked up looking with a sheetmetal dash that vibrates like hell, mismatched panels, no wheel well liners, etc... It has the potential to be something really cool, just don't cut corners and get lazy on it

As someone who’s currently taking a drivers assistance repair course atm for corporate stuffs, the only way you could even come close to getting the autopilot to work again is if you got Tesla to recalibrate it after making custom mounts for every single sensor to be in the correct location in relation to everything else, in other words the car would likely have to have a nearly identical shape to the original Tesla
I wasn't a big fan of the e Roy content, but this has turned out so sick! I love sleepers and this is the ultimate. This things gonna embarrass so many cars

Once you get the interior sealed up and insulated, and all your sensors and accessories working, you better get some nice paint or a custom wrap on this thing to really show it off! I love this so much but can't help feeling that some of that bounce may actually be chassis flex. May need to whack a cage in there in order to stiffen the chassis back up. Only because you took out a lot of strength from the tesla platform without putting it back in when you dropped the body back on. Just a thought. Love it though, this is the raddest build on YT right now haha

we need to see a journey to the 8s with the Rowdessey. It should EASILY be capable of it with that power, its weight, and AWD. ive seen 800whp honda powered cars weighing 3300lbs do 8.80s
There’s still over 1000 pounds added to that. Maybe if they put the Rowdessey on an extreme diet cutting away all unnecessary metal and taking care of all the weak links(axles, gears, etc) it might have a shot. Still that’s a hell of a ask, though I’d love to see it. It would be sick if someone would fabricate some carbon fiber doors for the Odyssey’s, it would sure help with the curb weight.

Sleeper is a true investment my friend, im working it out for my lancer brothers and sisters even though many people hate the car, but its not something to take lightly, but hondas and ford falcons from Australia are something to look for, cheap builds with cheap internals for more output, what you done here is commendable my friend good on ya💯
For reference, my 1965 Chevy G10 van weighs 2012 pounds with a full tank of fuel. Power comes from a Mercruiser GM SS 383 stroker rated at 650 hp. Still slower than your Plaidessey! But runs 11s while getting 22 mpg on regular gas. Local dragstrip sent me home until I put a cage in it.
I think you should paint the van, tint the glass, install some type of light weight floor covering etc. I love that you're trying to keep as much of the Tesla functionality as you can .Wyatt's hood latch is a 10.

Awesome build guys! Just one thing. In your shoes I would not shorten the cables for the charging. There is quite a lot of power going through there and I would not want to you to get electrocuted because the rewiring did not get done perfectly. Instead just make two cutouts to swap the cap to the new spot at the rear or something like that.
Dude I had a idea that u cut up the vans doors and weld them and integrate the Tesla doors into them and make them open in the middle of the oddesy doors and with the headlight try to get the Tesla lights working and the cameras
Awesome project, boiz. IMO, sliding doors > suicide doors. Stays with the sleeper theme, plus sliding doors are just more functional. There's a reason minivans have them in the first place.
rear suicide doors guys! handles are already in place and you maybe able to lighten them up at the same time (ie small dia steel/aluminum tube frame + plexi glass + original outside skin or aluminum sheet to match body lines)

my ocd is going crazy, I really wish you guys painted that fully in the Silver. The 2002 Silver Honda Oddessy was my first car, this is nostalgic for me.
You should gullwing them side doors, you can weld a door hinge on the top edge and mount some struts to hold it open, the stock latch should hold it still

Id suggest gullwing door kits for the side doors or just hinges for the top basically. Also would use a vroom box with external speakers to simulate car exhaust sounds for fun.

What are you guys should do is finish, sealing the whole entire vehicle off then do some seam sealer around all the cracks and fix it where the wind doesn’t come through the front and mess with everything and then put some interior in it

There is not much you can do to a model plaid other than suspension, wheels/tires and brakes at the moment.
@@Underpantsniper well, you could do the interior properly, paint the car a cool colour and have some cooler wheels. Mainly just exterior stuff.

If the module can’t be recalibrated, then you can just make a ceiling or dash mounted harness to keep it at the right angle.

rear suicide doors guys! handles are already in place and you maybe able to lighten them up at the same time (ie small dia steel/aluminum tube frame + plexi glass + original outside skin or aluminum sheet to match body lines)

You should gullwing them side doors, you can weld a door hinge on the top edge and mount some struts to hold it open, the stock latch should hold it still

Id suggest gullwing door kits for the side doors or just hinges for the top basically. Also would use a vroom box with external speakers to simulate car exhaust sounds for fun.

But man my guy you could have made so much more money by stretching us out for at least a few video series on all the troubleshooting you had to do to make this work I mean this isn't your typical swap whatsoever... But respect because that video of the whole process was awesome in every way

What are you guys should do is finish, sealing the whole entire vehicle off then do some seam sealer around all the cracks and fix it where the wind doesn’t come through the front and mess with everything and then put some interior in it
