I’m happy I live in Philippines. We’re the preparation starts at September 1. Xmas decorations, xmas parols can be seen everywhere. xmas songs can be heard played at radios, shopping malls, & in public places.
Does the process change with large trees like the one at 8:06. Can it simply be cut down and transported like the smaller ones or do special precautions have to be taken to protect it?
The hardest work i ever did was at wolfe nursery in San Antonio, from mid November to Christmas, during my highschool years, I started there when i was 15, and even worked a Christmas season after highschool, as a second job. Physical hard work, and these guys in the fields are working harder. It starts with 18 wheelers coming in and getting up on that flatbed trailer, and throwing trees off, carefully to a receiving crew at the bottom, and there would be 2 on the trailer, and 3 or 4 at the bottom, and they would go line them and stack them standing up. From scotch pines, nobles, and Douglas firs. The lot Managers were azzholes, they Were constantly yelling and clapping to get those trees off fast, and easy. They used to say, we were all alowed one broken tree per person a day, and any more than thst came out of our pay. I don't know if they were joking or serious, but luckily i never had to find that out.
