No idea why, but I have been unable to get a pork butt roast in my area for quite a few years now, even before COVID. I even tried special ordering one from my local butcher shop. I double- and triple-checked with them that it was a pork butt, but it certainly wasn't. How a butcher shop doesn't know what a pork butt roast is is beyond me. Why are these roasts so hard to find? Good to see you have these. Best part of the pig as far as I'm concerned. OK, maybe bacon is the best part. 😁
Great to see how much you take care of your piglets/pigs. You give me a view of something I only thought of as my mother was a farmer when she was younger but how can you determine what you need to raise these pigs? I mean it's not know how they will grow or what extra they need like shots and vet visits?
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the pig farm tour! The new arrivals must have been adorable. What stood out to you the most about the operation? Do you have any questions about how the farm is run?
Good morning. I really like your videos. I noticed with your meat pick-up at the packing plant, from there to the trailer when you off load you use a four wheel cart. There is an easier way to do that. There is a roller system that warehouses use to off load trailers. The system works like an accordion that can stretch out and go around corners, it has rollers on that you can put the boxes on the rollers and push it to the freezer. You can connect more rollers together to make it longer. The height can also be adjusted. Can also roll meat on the rollers to ups truck. If you put a second door in , the roller system can go from office to picking to freezer to truck. All done in a circle. If you want to know more about the roller system, contact a warehouse supply company. Even ask your ups driver. Thank you and have a good day. Michael edgar
Thanks for sharing such a thoughtful suggestion! It sounds like you’ve got a smart idea to make the process smoother. Have you used this roller system before? Do you think it would be easy to set up in a farm environment?
@@TyTyFarmTV thank you for responding to my comment. Yes, i have used this system thousands of times before. Yes, i think this system would be easy to set up with moving product more efficiently and safer for the back. As a tractor trailer driver, i have used this system all the time. Any questions, contact me any time.
Thanks for another great video you all. It was interesting and informative and enjoyable. Congratulations on reaching 100,000 followers if I understand correctly. I am so to speak new to your channel so getting acquainted with everything. Been with you about a month now and it has been great!!!!!!! Amazing how you and dad count all these pigs. Keeping the count going takes practice-wow!!!!!! 52 pigs to a pen. Amazing job both of you. I am starting to get the hang of it. Been with you about a month now and feeling more comfortable with your operation. Yeah!!!!!!! Love those baby pigs. I am still having trouble with calling them baby pigs. To me a baby pig is one about a week old. But your process and terminology is different and I am getting the hang of it. Question. Who raises the pig from birth to the weight from which you get the pig??????? Thanks for everything. Good operation you have. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
how much do you pay for your weaners there, and how old are they when you get them?here in the uk we pay around £35-£50 and are usually around 4-5 weeks old and we sell them at 70-75kgs for pork and 80-90 kgs for bacon
I’m sure glad I don’t eat pork at all they are so cute when they are small❤….I’m a beef eater only…question where do they get water?it’s a pretty nice set up though I must say…..
We hear ya. The box, liner, ice and shipping all add up. We are always looking for ways to be more competitive. Hope to add a retail outlet also. We’re working on it! Thanks for watching!
Stays completely frozen. We did it in July of last year with temps in the 100s it works just fine. Eventually I want to get a refrigerated truck but it’s not in the budget at the moment.
That’s definitely bold! Do you think people do it out of desperation, or are they just risk-takers? What would make someone take such a small amount of ERN like that?
I have no problem eating chicken and cow products, but pigs always have been a no for me. A lot smarter than dogs, skin extremely simular to human skin and deprived of any stimulus in farms, I just cant buy pig products. Idk why TH-cam recommended this, but still I can see the effort and the needed practices to satisfy the massive demand for these animals. Good video.
I like the little piggers.
With a hard R?
This is making me hungry
Those pigs look nice and healthy
How i like my bacon
Great to see your expansion progress.👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
I feel privileged! Trisha signed my first order when she packed it. Thank you for keeping those boys in line. Love everything you all do. Thanks
Hey, thanks! We will let her know!

I can’t believe you transport all that meat in a trailer that isn’t cooled. And your freezer fans not running.

We’ve seen them work. One of our neighbors use them in his sow unit. We will demo one sometime.

Do you need to pay residuals to Rosie O’Donnell for using her likeliness in your videos?
